The hostal frequently hasn't someone in the desk. I wait at the closed door for 40 min until be able to do my check-in. The distance to Caracoles is 13 min walking (1100m), i don't mind to walk, but in the way have a lot of sand. Good Breakfast, no noise, clean bed.

Hostal Solor is at the edge of town, a 15 minute walk from the center. The rooms are very simple, though clean. The shower barely functioned at least in our room.
