Enjoyed our stay here. Good clean room with a balcony overlooking the garden, good shower.
Pleasant garden to sit in. Helpful owners and staff. Good breakfast.
Only drawback is neighbour's noisy dog but we slept well anyway.

Pros: the staff were really lovely. They were helpful and welcoming. The room was gorgeous, had loads of natural light and overlooked the gardens. It was spacious and comfortable. Hot showers, a great guest library and bikes (both bicycles and electric ones) are available for rent. The food is nice and after a week in China it was a welcomed...

To start off, the location is beautiful.
This place is virtually impossible to sleep in. There is a dog next door which barks throughout the night, there are random kids screaming and laughing, and the owners dogs bark also thought he night.

This was the perfect place to see Dali from. It's on the town's edge, so you're only a few minute's walk from the main streets with their shops and restaurants, but it's far enough away that you don't have to deal with noise from the other tourists. The only downside was that one morning a rooster somewhere in the neighborhood...

This is my 2nd time staying at this place. The place was kept well even after more than a year. The 2 dogs are just too lovely, though one of them will steal your food on the table. The owners unfortunately allow the dogs to roam freely even to the eating area.
Pro : Clean, quiet and comfortable. They clean...

We checked in here the first night in Dali. Everyone spoke English and there were the adorable golden retrievers sleeping in the lounge. We were able to get a private room with private bath, reasonably priced for one night. The room was very clean and very well-lit and well decorated. The bathroom was a bit tight, and after our showers,...

We spent one night in a three-bed room with nice wooden furniture. The 'organic' lodge is at the eastern edge of old Dali, where the action thins out. It's close to an excellent cheap bike rental (Chinese spoken only) and the getaway route to the lake. Helpful western hosts and nice facilities made it a quality stay, if not without...

Sleepyfish Lodge was booked for me by friends in Dali who knew that I would not be disappointed. They were right. I arrived very tired, stayed for five days and six nights and enjoyed every moment. It is a real "no pressure" place to stay, very undemanding for guests. My room was spotlessly clean, kettle and tea bags also supplied....
