Simple but very nice with friendly, helpful staff. Know what to expect is the key here - simple accommodations (bed, shower, toilet, small window), but pretty grounds with a nice area to relax by a pond and have a drink. Only a short drive away from most of the wats you will want to see. Staff is very friendly and... More

This place pull you in the Ayutthaya atmosphere! The teak house is very nicely renovated, there is a rubissh in front of it and the lotus lake is not clean as well but we were there after the floods so that was probably because of that! The old lady is kind of hard to talk to but we book it... More

Baan Lotus is clean, well-run and decent value. It's in a good location near-ish the middle of town and the temples, especially if you hop on one of their readily available bikes - definitely a plus as the spread out temple ruins of Ayutthaya are too far apart for walking. The staff are very helpful, albeit with limited English. The... More

We liked very much this guesthouse, it is a relaxing place. Our room was clean and big enough. We could rent bikes, it was handy even if the bikes were a bit old and some were broken.

The hotel is located in the centre of town in it's own grounds, with long driveway and lilly pond at the rear with hammocks and covered reading areas. Our air conditioned room at 600 baht included coffee and toast in the morning and it was clean and tidy if a little spartan. The bathroom was clean and useable and we... More

This guesthouse has a very friendly atmosphere. If you haven't found the time but really want to read at least a few pages of the book that you've been carrying around for so long... this is the place! But above all it's an ideal starting point when you want to explore the city and its surroundings. My room looked clean... More

I chose this place because it was a pick by Lonely Planet, and I was so happy I did. I had just arrived in Thailand and needed a quiet, relaxed location to adjust. I spent many hours hanging out in the back, over the lotus pond (bring mosquito repellent, though!). The owner was incredibly sweet to me and a little... More

Well we had this horrible horrible ride up from Bangkok; standing room only 3rd class tickets only to be harassed at the train station. All of that was quickly forgotten when we arrived here. The owner is really the jewel of this place. This little old lady is so sweet. She was completely honest, warm and friendly. The rooms were... More
