Very close to the pier, if you were keen you could walk down the beach to this place. It is also a little bit away from the noise of the music at the bars at night, if that's what you want. There is a 3 tiered pool which is quite nice and an onsite massage place. We chose a superior... More

I stayed at the Koh Tao Regal for 7 nights in April, choosing a bungalow by the beach. It's true, the bungalow was quite close to the beach, but the view from my room was anything but idyllic. Astroturf, the staff breaks hut, junk storage, stacked chairs and tables, earth moving equipment, garbage dumping area and supplies drop off. It... More

Stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend last September while diving with Crystal Dive. It seems like its currently getting a bit of a makeover as they were currently finishing off the new bar and restaurant. As you enter the hotel lobby everything seemed lovely and new, the receptionist didn't have the best English but was friendly and had enough... More

We stayed here for four nights in the bungalow on the beach, which was wonderful. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable. The pool overlooking the beach was fantastic and the location was excellent. The staff were polite and helpful. Everything seemed a bit tired - the hotel has the potential to be a top hotel - it seemed as if... More

The wait staff in the kitchen was rude. The front desk wasn't very helpful. Our room was checked on while we were away and the door was left open. We came back and everything was there but it made us nervous. The front desk just said a maid accidentally left it open. We asked why she was in the room... More

Stayed here for one night on overnight trip to Koh Tao from Samui. Located right on the beach and in between Mae Haad where the ferry comes in and Sairee Beach where the bars and restaurants are. Salt water pool and nice bar. Plenty of padded loungers Rooms were spacious although views are not great if you don't upgrade to... More

This place remiinds me of a hotel in some of the former eastern europe communist countries rather than beeing in lovely Thailand. Located closer to mae haad than Sairee beach it is however in a pretty calm area. The hotel is extremely dirty to start with. Seems like they built it once with great intentions but failed epic in trying... More

We stayed for one night in the bungalows. They are located about 100 feet from the water at the end of the beach, which ensures that you do not have lots of passing foot traffic. It's nice and quite here, you can hear the waves at night from your bed, a little bit of boat noise around 6am but considering... More

That was my 3rd place on koh tao. I stayed at regal bungalows just behind the hotel it self. Ask price is 800 baht but you can negotiate down to even 500baht (what my neighbors did). I maneged to go down to 700baht as I stayed for short period of time. But price made me happy as previous locations were... More
