Very welcoming staff and clean, comfortable rooms. A few irritants to be aware of; the keycards keep failing, there are too few lifts and the internet frequently drops. “The most modern in town, it attempts to be "western" & "boutique" but fails miserably!”

Upon arriving we were impressed (having previously stayed in a beach shack) but this feeling quickly wore off. Reception was staffed by a group of pretty young girls who smiled sweetly at you while saying "sorry I don't know" to every question. They have no idea about the town, the area, site seeing, restaurants, etc. They're useless! Food & drinks... More

Palangkaraya, ringed by peat swamps, and a long way from anywhere you have heard of, is far off any tourist trail. Yet as Kalimantan's mining boom continues, it is slowly becoming more important.
