Official Description (provided by the hotel):: Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 11,747 square kilometers. Opened in April of 1948, it is located near the village of Voi in the Taita District of Coast Province. The park is divided into east and west sections by the A109 road and a railway. Named for the Tsavo River, which flows west to east through the national park, it borders the Chyulu Hills National Park, and the Mkomazi Game Reserve in Tanzania Climate Generally hot and dry fanned by a cool breeze. “Home in the Bush....”

Very nice and unique place just like home but in the Bush.... The tents are very comfortable and the view is very nice. The restaurant is nice positioned to view the waterholes where the elephants come for a drink. Very friendly staff and the place is clean. There is a swimming pool to cool of after the morning game drive... More

“Excellent service and great location”

In our whole trip, Sentrim Lodge provided the best accommodation experience. The location is fantastic and the tents are nice, spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly and provide great service.

“sentrim camp”

Tennts were comfortable and the food was good basic italian. Lots of Italian tourists arrive for lunch. Little wildlife seen apart from crocs and hippos and two elephants over 2 days. We liked the camp but the major drawback is the distance from park gate -circa10 kms- over poor and heavily corrugated tracks/roads.

“Great location”

I spent one night at the former Tarhi camp. The location is excellent. 50 meter from the camp is a water whole which attracts a great number of animals. We saw at least 50 Elephants during our dinner. The camp is very clean and the staff very friendly. Food was a bit disappointing. Very basic and not much flavour.

Stayed here late last year and boy what a mistake. The location is not bad, you have to drive thru a ferw bushes here and there to reach it. The problem is the camp itself. VERY basic.
