Hard to beat the location in the jungle. The lodge is surrounded by electric fences to keep out the elephants when they are around. nonstop activities are great between boat rides and jungle walks. Helsen our guide was great and knowledgeable. I was lucky enough to see the groups of orangutans, crocodiles and even the elephants during my the days,... More

Myself and my wife booked the 3D/2N package and had a great time. The accommodation is basic but perfectly adequate and we actually saw some huge lizards just outside of our hut. The boat trips were definately the highlight and we got to see all of the animals that we were hoping to see plus the bonus of some elephants... More

Thank you for your very objective feed back. We have since informed our guides to watch out for over zealous guests who will not hesistate to even stand up while in a boat, so as to capture a picture. It is indeed risky. Yes, its Helson who brought you around while you were there and I will pass on your... More

We did the 3 day/2 night trip, stayed in one of the Agamid chalets, which are more private than the civet wing and directly overlook the forest (we saw several birds really close up from our balcony - much closer and better photos than from the boats!). It is of course very much a package trip (the only way you... More

Thank you for your feed back. Getting enough correct size wellies seems rather challenging for us as the market either dont carry the big sizes or enough for our requirements. We will increase our wellies availability after reading your feed back. We are glad to have crossed your path and have a safe onward travel. More

Warmly welcomed upon arrival, we were ushered to our rooms to prepare for this 3 day jungle odyssey. Acco was very basic, but I chose the single with private ensuite with hot water and found it to be clean, quiet, spacious and very adequate. Forget about the other mod cons in the jungle. The food was also very basic but... More

I participated in the Nature Lodge 3 Day/2 Night trip. The lower Kinabatangan River area is one of the few easily accessible areas of jungle left in Sabah. It’s a relatively small Eden amongst a sea of palm oil plantations that cover everyplace else we saw. We originally inquired with the well regarded Uncle Tans, but were notified that their... More

Thank you for your details and rather objective feed back. I am ceratin many travellers can benefit from your details feedback contribution. While we tried to seperate the kids from the activities, its rather difficlt to discriminate our guests based upon their age. We have since instructed our guides to ensure that when kids are within a group, the kids... More

We had initially booked a 3D/2N trip but we loved it so much that we ended up staying an additional two nights. We had booked one of the 4 bed dorms but ended up having the whole room to ourselves which was great. There is a great "set" routine to the day: early morning boat ride, breakfast, jungle walk to... Its really in nature... takes long time to get their but its worth it. I stayed in a dorm which was fine. Be prepared to have leeches on you after the walks. Take the 3D 2N package for 380 (actually the 3 day is not really 3D, it starts at 4pm on the first day and ends at 9am on... More

Dear Julie Thank you for your positive feed back and I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Regarding your comment on the 3D/2N but that the tour is not exactly 3 days, I thought I need to clarify this. The tour actually starts at Medan Selera (a coffeee shop) in Kota Kinabatangan at 1.00pm. For our guests who... More

This was a wonderful experience, the accommodation excellent, we had a cabin in the Civet wing, very comforable and own bathroom. The meals were all included in the price and were very good. The staff looked after everyone so well and all questions answered. The wildlife viewing from the boat trips was amazing, fare better than we ever expected. How... More

We did the 3D 2N package, stayed in the Agamid wing cabins, and had a wonderful, relaxing, refreshing time. The Agamid cabins are twin beds with enough room, a good bathroom facility with hot water, and a balcony. As far as we (an older couple) are concerned, well worth the extra to stay there. But dorm rooms also looked good.... More

Thank you for your positive feed back after your recent stay with us. It's "unfortunate" that you cant do a jungle trek while the elephants were with us ;) Sighting of the elephants have always been a highlight of our guests trips and we are glad to saw them. While here I saw: Borneo Pygmy Elephants, Wild Orang Utans, Probiscis Monkeys, Silver Lankur, Long Tailed Macaque, Monitor Lizards, Eagles, hornbills, some rare type of ?stork?, Snakes, and plenty of Leeches!
