We stayed here for 5 nights in the A-frame bungalows just next to the beach. Great location, and view from the porch! We also took part in the snorkeling trip (good value for money). Its great that the stay includes breakfast, which is very tasty (if you choose the Malaysian breakfast instead of continental that is). Would recommend!

Given the fact this is an island with no roads and almost no infrastructure, this hotel is really impressive! This is not a luxury or boutique hotel, and don't be expecting that, but rooms are clean, comfortable, adequately furnished, with onsuite bathroom, and (if selected) fan and aircon. Which is all you really need when you have a tropical paradise,... More

Although the location is amazing, the resort has several flaws. To begin with, the rooms are not cleaned, the food is more expensive and less tasty than in other restaurantes at the beach and the staff is horrible. At first we booked an aircon seaview room, but the AC didn´t work, the sink and the toilet didn´t always work either... More

The resort is quite nice, we had an AC chalet with the most amazing view, picture-perfect sunsets (albeit it was a bit cloudy most evenings so that ruined it a bit). The chalets are not very modern, though they do the job. They are clean and you are not cramped for space. The en-suite bathroom is decent for backpacker-style accommodation... More

We stayed here for one night as another resort we had 'booked' had failed to honour the booking. We were happy with the accomodation- we paid 135RM for a fan chalet with a bathroom on the second level up from the beach. The room was clean and good standard compared to some others on the perhentians. There was a bit... More

My wife and I had an astonishingly poor experience at Senja Bay Resort. We were staying in an air-con chalet. This was quite pleasant and had a good view of the sea, but this is the extent of our positive experiences there. The bathroom was very basic, albeit adequate and it had hot water, which was nice. Staff were generally rude... More

I stayed here for 5 days in September and had an overall good experience. I would definitely suggest a chalet with air conditioning though, as the rooms get quite hot. The staff is friendly, however not super helpful. The chalets are very old and you will for sure want to wear flip flops in the shower. Power turns on and... More

Rude uninterested and inadequate staff are the main problem with this resort, we stayed for 4 nights in February and i will not recommend this place to anybody. Food was not discus-ting however the other places on the beach were so much better that they made the restaurant look horrible. Worst was the attitude of the staff because of a... More

We were warned not to go here in February, wouldn't be able to get to the island, things would be closed, etc. So glad we ignored the advice! Senja Bay Resort is a lovely place for backpackers to enjoy value with stunning views. The room had everything that was needed, plus a fan and air con! Every morning I could... More

Seja bay was good place with nice view, good facilities and affordable price. It was my first time there and it was great. I took the 3rd level room with fan (2 single bed, RM70/night). but dont worry because the fan was good and there also a hot shower for those who need it. the toilet is clean. Those who... More
