Let me tell you about The Way Inn. The owner built it himself, from scratch, over almost a decade, with the aim of creating a modern yet rustic lodge at the edge of the world and a jumping-off point for adventures in the high mountains and beyond. The Way Inn is perched on the edge of a high plateau overlooking... More

I made a reservation at the Way Inn over a month before the Easter holiday. This is a time in Peru when it is very important to make reservations in advance as places fill up quickly. The initial reservation process was simple over email and I received confirmation for my family's holiday to Huaraz. Imagine my surprise to then receive... More

We are very sorry for the cancellation but there was an issue beyond our control that required us to cancel all reservations. Turning guests away, especially during the important Semana Santa travel holiday was a very painful decision. We would really like the opportunity to make it up to you and your family and invite you to please come stay... More

The place is amazing and not that expensive. Meals are a little bit expensive though. Still it absolutely worths it if you plan to stay for a few days. There are plenty of places around to trek, climb, camp or whatever you want to do. People who works there is very nice, friendly and helpful, the views are great. I... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! Our meal prices are higher mostly because we only source the highest quality ingredients. Many times these ingredients are not available locally and must be shipped from Lima (sometimes even further). In the meantime, we are working towards building a sustainable system of agriculture on our land so that we... More

To start out, I believe the thing that sets this place apart from other B&B's in the area are the accomodations. There really isn't anything like it's comfort level and number of offerings in the area I've seen. I went in the low season, mid-November, and had quite a memorable stay. I arrived to rain and chilly temps in the... More

The place and surroundings are beautifull. You can tell the owner invested a great deal of thought and planning to this lodge. I stayed there for three nights, friday through Monday morning, during a national holliday, and I regret some things about the lodge: 1. DIRTY, the bathrooms were horrible, it looked like stadium bathrooms, every morning past 9 AM... More

The current manager ruined our extended stay at this establishment. These are the things that went right: 1) The morning/afternoon girls in the kitchen/hospitality positions were very friendly. 2) The evening chef, also very friendly and served absolutely delicious meals. 3) Ryan was very friendly and had a lot of excellent and useful information for mountain climbing in the area.... I loved this place. The location is spectacular, with easy access to many day hikes. The accommodation itself is lovely and very clean. My major problem was the food; while tasty dinner was 30 s/ and definately not enough to satisfy the smallest of appetites. The remote location and lack of kitchen means this is the only food option. It... More

I stayed in the Way Inn with my girlfriend last August/September, and we both had a blast. I have to say that this was one of my favorite hotels of all time, and I really think there's something for everyone. 1) The Relaxation: This place is really set off by itself, and there are no other houses visible from the... What an amazing way to get out of Huaraz yet leave not a single creature comfort behind! The Way Inn is perfectly placed, just 30 or so minutes from the city and 30 minutes more walking to the mountains. I stayed in a private room with a bathroom; it was clean, warm (down duvets!), and quiet. There were other rooms... More
