Location is great, and general decor would suggest a premium hotel. I stayed with my girlfriend and our main gripes are with the service at reception level eg. We would book a sea view room - not true you can see a mountain. We then asked therefore to be moved to a mountain view room - the view was of... More

This seems to be kind of a sister hotel to Bianca resort in Kolasin. After our good experience with Bianca, we decided to stay at Avala for a night. Overall we liked it. True, as other reviewers say, the staff seems a bit reserved and busy with themselves, but they were polite otherwise. Difficult to find the entrance too, if... More

We stayed at the Avala Resort in September 2011. As much as the Avala is as stylish and contemporary as we expected, after staying in many 4 star establishments all over the world, including Croatia (Dubrovnik), we don't believe the Avala is quite there. Although the sea view room we had, which we paid extra for, was very nice, it... More

We didnt enjoy our stay at the Avala Resort Hotel. Montenegro was fantastic, and Budva a great resort, but we would not recommend this hotel. Dont get us wrong, it was lovely, stylish and cool. We werent unsettled by the decor yes it was very dark but this kept it welcomley cool when it was so hot outside. We agree... More

Budva is a historical town, I think better than Dubrovnik. Avala hotel is well situated just outside the old town walls and also near to various beaches. Bedroom, sea facing, was quite large with bathroom, wet room, large bed and balcony with chairs. One problem is to get any problems sorted-one wardrobe sliding came off its channel but still worked.... More

Have just returned from a week in Budva, staying at the Avala hotel, this hotel is in an excellant location near the old town. We stayed in a mountain view room, which had a nice view of the mountains however other rooms might not be so good. The shower/wet room was excellant this is the first time I have ever... More

Having recently returned from a two week stay at the Avala, I recognise some (but not all) of the comments made in previous reviews. We had booked a standard room with a sea view and were rewarded for paying the extra money, with spectacular views across the old town (Stari Grad), the Adriatic and St Nicholas Island. It's perhaps not... More

Beautiful compound in a very central place. But everything else is awful! The most uncomfortable hotel I have ever visited! A lot of stairs to get breakfast room, very hot if ac is off, too cold where ac is on, rooms are dirty amd never well cleaned, and, ABOVE ALL, the beach is the worst one! It's far twenty minutes... *Plus*: big rooms, always clean, very fast and efficient laundry service, super gym and pools, privacy (use the lifts on the right of the main entrance if you need privacy) *Cons*: Booked a sea-view room, got a sea-side room without the view. The manager of the hotel told me that in Montenegro they consider sea-side the same of sea-view, so... More

My friend and I stayd at the Avala for 2 weeks medio July 2011. We had ordered a room with twin beds. Due to a misunderstanding there was no such room when we arrived. The hotel offered us then a room with a seaview for the same price as the mountain view room we had ordered. We were so happy... More
