This seems to be either the sister property or same group as Lea Lea Garden Hotel, which was about 30 metres down the road. We stayed in the new wing, which was 6/7 story building still being done up. Only the lower floors were open for guests, with a lot of construction material still in the car park. There was... More

This hotel has great location....front entrance was great. The rooms were ok...although we got an awesome view of the lake. The carpets needed some cleaning not just vacuumed. You can see visible stains throughout. I would of rated it a 4 if they had elevator. My father in law is in his 80's, has knee problems and had difficult going... More

The lakeside location of this hotel was lovely and the chalet style building was lovely. However, the rooms were not very soundproof and it's very easy to hear other people speaking in the room next door which is OK providing they don't decide to stay up chatting until 2.00 am if you've decided to have an early night!! Our room... More

We stayed there for 4 nights and it was great overall. The rooms were not entirely sound proofed and breakfast was not great, for the price, it was a pretty good deal. The staff were also excellent in helping us recover my wife's handbag that she left accidentally in the hotel, and had it sent over to taipei within a... More

On the plus side, the hotel has an outstanding location, right on the lakeside on the edge of the village. There is a large floating dock with seating where you can enjoy a drink along with the view. The shops, restaurants and other amenities of Yuchih are only 5 minutes' walk away. The hotel looks nice, being built of wood,... More

The lobby is really quite lovely -- Westerners would call it a 'chalet style' -- all in wood, nicely detailed, with pretty views of the lake. The lobby furniture is inappropriate, sort of French neo-classical, but with two Chinese rosewood chairs to the side, one with a very large stuffed teddy bear. Everything is like that: it always misses the... More

Stayed here as part of a Taiwan tour and arrived during a typhoon so could hardly see Sun Moon Lake let alone enjoy the area. However the hotel is way past it's best. I'm sure it was lovely when it first opened and looks good on the surface in a chalet style. On closer inspection some of the hotel is... More

We stayed two nights at Richforest Resort at Sun Moon Lake in May after reading a review of it in Lonely Planet when it was called Lingo Woods International Resort, written quite a few years ago. Could not find one single review of this resort in it’s present name anywhere so went there rather blindly. However, couldn’t have been more... More
