The hotel was build in 1957 with its dark wood panelling and ornate pictures and memorabilia it is full of character. It's narrow corridors and tight turns to rooms tucked in corners led us to a reasonably clean, fairly dark and compact room. It overlooked a square where the children played cricket and the adults gathered prior to going into... More

Old traditional feeling hotel. Great location as it's walking distance to Old Delhi. A far walk to the big mosque and red fort but and interesting walk. The hotel gave poor directions to these places, so bring your map. Not too expensive. Nothing special. Very good restaurant. The rooms facing the street where noisy with street traffic. They recommended some... More

The Hotel Broadway is a somewhat old fashioned, slightly run down hotel. Our standard room was reasonably presentable but nothing special. If it were not for the fact that this was Delhi, one would not describe it as value for money. The location on busy Asaf Ali Rd half way between New Delhi and Old Delhi would have been reasonably... I moved (or more accurately, was moved) to this hotel from the YMCA Tourist Hostel, and frankly, regretted it. My room (#14) was tiny and had no window (technically incorrect, since there was a window on the passage side which of course was not openable). If you are claustrophobic, look for another place. The water was never hot. One of... More

The room was spacious and adequate however the bathroom was pretty poor and in need of some thorough cleaning especially around the taps. The breakfast was very good and the staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is situated in quite a poor area (but at least interesting!)but rickshaws were plentiful and we were very close to many of the... More

The hotel is clean and the room spacious and well decorated. Not noisy despite being in the city center. The staff is quite unpolite but the restaurant is great ! If you do not stay here, still go to their restaurant, called, Chor Bazar, for dinner. We had chosen a package with a deluxe room ( 402 ) decorated by a... More

During our travels in India, we met several young-ish Indians working in various arts fields, and all of them were familiar with and enthusiastic about the Hotel Broadway. It's more urban-sophisticated than any other place I've stayed on four trips to India. The Broadway is not a luxury hotel (who can afford those these days?), but it's comforable, well equipped,... The hotel is located in Old Delhi, which is a world away from the boutique hotels of Connaught Place, but does have a lot of character. The hotel is within walking distance of one of the major mosques in Delhi (Jama Masjid). We stayed in one of the recently redecorated rooms (I think it may have been room 45) -... More

This was the only hotel we had booked before arriving in India, thinking that we would be jet-lagged and wanting a decent place to sleep for the first few nights. We asked the receptionist what we could do around the area, saying that we wanted to go to an outdoor market. He called a driver who took us first to... More
