Recently visit mlk to attend friend's wedding dinner, so we decided to stay at this hotel as recommended from a local friend. Location is good within town area, 5-10 mins drive to the historical places & shopping center. Within walking distance easy to get some local famous food as well , e.g the famous capitol satay celup, chicken rice balls..... More

This hotel located in the Town area, 5-10 mins drive to the Historical Site, Jonker Walk, Eye of Malaysia... Next to the hotel is the Main Outlet of Tan Kim Hock Products Center (Selling those famous local products & delicious Durian/ Coconut Cendol) This the place should visit when you are in Malacca. With a supermarket selling local food and beverage beside the hotel cannot complement the poorly run and maintained hotel. The hot water for bathroom was on and off from time to time, furnitures were old, and my room even had a big hole around the air-con outlet (I checked the hole for many times to ensure there was no camera... My first impression of Tan Kim Hock Hotel when we first arrived there was "this must be one of the must-go tourists' spot!". Why?
