This hotel is a top class hotel. Very beautiful decor , lots of space and very comfortable , luxurious rooms. Very clean and the service is excellent. The buffet dinner was the best i had in China as well as the breakfast. There is such a big variety of food to choose from.

I spent just one night at the Royal Tulip, but it was very comfortable and a relaxing place to stay after exploring the ancient waterown. Front desk staff had limited English and there was some trouble with my booking. The staff were helpful and efficient in solving the problem and all was well. The hotel has very nice and extensive grounds and would be a great place for an extended stay. Room was very comfortable with a great bathroom (note: wifi was not very good during my stay).

This hotel is most likely the best hotel in this part of town,.... but that does not make the hotel overall that much better. The lobby is massive, but the service was rather average. It smells damped in the hallways and there is no AC in the hallways,.. so it is way too hot. The room AC is only on when you are in the room,.. so it is too hot for the first 10 minutes. The carpet in the room so dirty that I did not wanted to walk without socks any more. For a chinese hotel the bed is rather soft (which is good as normally they are rock hard). The internet is for free but very slow. There is only one English TV channel and that is CCTV English,.. so do not bet on watching much TV. I would not recommend this hotel.

It was a company training session that brought me to this hotel. Walkable to Zhujiajiao Ancient/New Town, it is quiet, green and refreshing. The hall is huge and the staff try their best to help you ( if inly they can speak better english then that would be a bonus). Also, some of the cleaning ladies can't answer your questions so best to ask at the front desk. Room is on the first floor in this C shaped building. Very secure since you need your card to swipe in and out. Those who live higher up can take the elevators ( just a bit too small). Room is very clean and the beds are wonderfully comfortable- the curtains are thick so it was a good night's sleep. Clean rooms, the usuals provided and nice entertainment area. The gym is a tad small located on level two in the same room as the swimming pool ( not linked with the hotel). Once again, despite loving swimming, I had another allergic reaction- to the chlorine level in the water. Nice facilities and great food- their business meeting rooms are also good. DO NOT BUT swimming costumes or snacks in the hotel since as usual, they are 4 times the price of those in Zhujiajiao. Great showers and overall, a nice night…

My 13 yo daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights to attend a nearby youth music camp. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff are helpful and courteous - just not many who can speak English which made it a little challenging at times. We got a good deal via Ctrip website which included buffet breakfast for 2. The breakfast buffet is extensive, with both Chinese and western options. Our deluxe twin room overlooked a park across the street and was quite spacious. My only complaint would be the shower over the plastic bath - I prefer a walk in shower. Overall, great value for money.

A wonderful place to stay especially after staying on a farm the previous night. Clean, good service and fun! Nearby access to the Ancient City. Rooms were very Large and luxurious. Not sure I liked the upstairs bedroom as wasn't about to haul my suitcase up there but made it work.
