I would rate this property as 'Good' rather than 'Average'. If you are looking for a place to stay in the centre of Shanghai (People's Square), this is not a bad place to stay as the price is reasonable. However, please ensure you book the room beforehand as if you try to book at the hotel, it is more expensive.... More

Built in 1926, this lovely old place is in great condition at a bargain price. The best feature is its location across the road from People's Place metro which is the junction of several underground train lines in the centre of town and at the end of the Nanjing Road pedestrian street. From the Metro Exit 8 past dozens of... More

I got a room for 400 RMB and it was a steal with such a great location! These were the best beds I've slept in, in the year I've been traveling in China so far. Super clean, nice mini fridge and a fairly big bathroom with a tub. If I can get my room again for such a bargain I'll... More

The hotel is conveniently located near People's Square station (exit 8), and Madame Tussand's is just down the road at New World mall (Xin Si Jie). Decent sized rooms, however, take note that the lobby is on the 2nd floor & you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs to get to the lobby (the bellhop will be... More

Overall, I can’t really say anything bad about this place. I stayed here for a total of seven nights in two different rooms. It’s a really nice hotel in an excellent and very central location. It is actually a much fancier place than I usually stay in while in China, but it was reasonably priced for the level of quality... More

We were in Pacific hotel in F1 weekend so it was fully booked and there were noice in the hallways and rooms had thin walls. And housekeeping staff were talking with loud voice in the hallways in the morning and woke us up. Service was good and friendly. Beds were super good and soft especially compared to normal chinese beds.... More

The location is great but be careful, they will charge you more to have a view on People square whatever it was said on the booking and confirmed from reservation after. Service is clearly not a 4 stars hotel but more a state own hotel level. The day we arrived they did some paint on the 2nd floor and in... More

I chose the Pacific Hotel for my first visit to Shanghai because of the location: on Nanjing Road, just 1/2 block from pedestrian mall part of Nanjing Road, across the street from People's Park, and across the street from the heart of the Metro system. It was tremendously convenient-- we could walk to the Bund, and all the attractions of... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic if you are travelling to Shanghai and want to be around the tourist areas. With Peoples Square just accross the road as well as the Metro entry (8) almost at your doorstep, its easy to get around different locations in Shanghai. The brightly lit East Nanjing Road is a very short walk away... More
