This is a nasty overpriced dump of a hotel that is surrounded on 3 sides with huge construction sites that are in operation 24/7 and that means a lot of noise and bright lights from the sites as well as a constant coming and going of cement and gravel trucks. If you idea of a great view is a building...

We are presently staying at the Piao Yiang Hotel in Shanghai, at a cost of abour $40 a night. We are on a business trip, and the company we visited is located in the same building. We have a room with a queen size bed, wonderful heating, pleasant decor, and a modified minibar with tea and fridge. The bathroom is...

I had stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and was bitten by bed bugs which left me with 8 bites on my arms and legs. I have weared clothes while sleeping to avoid dirty sheet, and I know I would have more bites if I did not.

This hotel is not as bad as others I have experienced in China. The reception staff were good English speakers, and my experience with the housekeeping staff was good - they replaced a broken light bulb within 5 minutes. The room I stayed in was opulent, although I was on the bad side of the hotel and had a view...

This is my home base hotel in Shanghai because of the location, price and friendly staff. Have stayed 20 times over last 4 years. Speak passable English. Take American Express and fair currency exchange. Clean, functional and cheap.
Walk to Metro and Nanjing road. Zhapu Lu is famous food street for local culture. Hotel Restaurant is average at best.

We stayed here as part of a tour with one of Shanghai’s travel agency. The hotel is located near some of the major attractions. This was our last stop of our 6days tour and we will be going back to Malaysia the next day afternoon.
The staff was NOT helpful, especially those who work in the restaurant.

I stayed here as part of a tour with GAP Adventures. The hotel is located within walking distance of some of the major attractions. Also, some of the rooms have a great view. However, the immediate area around the hotel is questionable, with massage parlors and the like a couple of doors down.
The rooms were not very clean. Two...
