We arrived for a 10 day visit to several areas and this hotel was very beautifully decorated, very clean and surprised how nice it was. The only suggestion is to have a translator app as hardly anyone speaks English. Breakfast buffet was outstanding with a mix of European, American and Asian foods. Would definitely return here.

I have stayed here for 3N and it was a very comfortable stay. The staff are not all speaking English but they are very helpful and trying to make things work with their phone app. The breakfast buffet spread was great. This hotel though is far from the Shanghai city center.

Traveled for business. Location was great. The shopping mall was inside the hotel. Had all the best facilities available. The breakfast spread was very good and had a good variety of food. Except for the front office, none of the other staff could speak English. The concierge struggled to even get a taxi for my travelling at times.

I stayed in this hotel for 9 nights in Dec 2018. it is next to a big and very modern Mall, and you don't have to go out to get to the Mall as it is connected inside via 3rd floor. The Mall has 2 Starbucks, and many many different style restaurants, drug store (Watson), high end and mid range retails. However, you need a taxi to get to the nearest metro stop like Songjiang New Town or Songjiang University Town stops (< than 3-5 car ride). The hotel staff are friendly and courteous, and the breakfast is just amazing in variety and quality. The Hotel gym is 24/7 open with all the useful equipment which is particularly useful for those having jet lag issue. It is a non-smoking hotel, and the room doesn't have any trace of smoke, i.e., a truly non-smoking room. However, some very bad customers would secretly smoke in hall ways or lobby. I spotted one and asked the hotel staff to ask the smokers to extinguish the smoke. The bathroom is spacious, and modern. But, I can smell a slight urine smell near the toilet area, and wonder what was the cause as I didn't see any leakage. The worst aspect of the hotel is it's network connection and infrastructure as it is so out of date in network infrastructure (built in 2005 probably with low quality network gears). During my 9 days stay there, I had to call tech support everyday to solve the disconnection and stability issue. The internet connection stability is the worst that I have ever encountered in all the hotels I have stayed in both US and China. You won't know when the internet connection could be disconnected or/and whether you can get connected after turning on the laptop. All the 5 technicians that I have encountered over the 9 nights stay there all told me that the network infrastructure is so out of date that it can't meet the demand of the current high speed band width of the current internet need. I reflected this serious stability of internet connection problem to the hotel manager and suggested him to hire an outside network specialist to diagnose the network connection problem instead of treating the symptom only. The in-house network technicians have very limited knowledge. Contrary to the consistent network connection problem from my 2 yrs old Dell Laptop, fortunately, my 5 yr old Samsung cell phone can access the hotel network without any problem. Another suggestion to the hotel about network login: It should have a secured login instead of free and open to everyone even non-hotel guests. I would give it a 5 starts if the network problem would not be there.

Stayed here for three days on business. Impressive lobby, but once entering the room, no English speaking television stations and very shabby construction finishes in the bathrooms. The dinner in the first floor restaurant was a buffet. The food would not appear to a westerner at all. Decided to order dinner alacarte on their iPad, then was brought the wrong order. Waited an hour for correct entree and gave up. Went to the now destroyed buffet and swallowed a few inedible bites. Gross dinner. During dinner, the head server? insisted I pay cash for dinner, even though I had 3000 deposit on my room. She insisted it wouldn't cover the meal. She kept interrupting our dinner meeting. When we were leaving, she showed me the bill of 500 total, but still would not put it on room charge. Very sketchy behavior and absolutely NO English speakers on site. I would not recommend this hotel to westerners. Too far from city center; lousy service.

Clean and tidy hotel close to a shopping mall. In there it was plenty of places to eat. We especially liked the Mongolian restaurant on 3rd floor when you walk from hotel directly to the mall. Remember to bring swimming cap if you want to utilize the indoor swimming pool. The gym was great with 360 degree panorama windows. The breakfast was average, some western bread and cheese and then lots of Chinese choices. On Oct 2nd, it was so crowded at the breakfast so it was almost impossible to get a table and when we succeed to get one, the waiter was so stressed to clear the table for us. Many dishes was empty and the waiter didn’t manage to replace it.

Stayed here for 3 nights on business so early out and back about 8ish. Has a shopping mall on the back with some good restaurants and a great bar (Red Bar) in. Rooms ok but a bit tired, but in no way bad. Would use again.

We recently had the pleasure of staying here for a week. Our normal choice of hotel is less stars but further away from the local shopping centre and food outlets which are on the doorstep. The hotel is much more expensive than the cab fare to get here and the extra cost really isn’t justifiable. Although the rooms are well laid out and beds comfortable the whole hotel doesn’t seem as welcoming, clean or friendly. Breakfast is served buffet style with a huge selection to choose from. The dining room gets lots of flies which puts you off lots of the produce. We cannot comment on the lunch or evening meals as we chose to eat out each night. They allow smoking inside the hotel which isn’t very pleasant at all for non smokers. The shopping mall attached to the hotel has everything you could wish for. McDonald’s and kfc, papa johns, Starbucks and Costa coffee too. So many places to choose from. L’oliva western restaurant is our favourite and is extremely friendly and provides tasty food at very reasonable prices. They also have a coffee shop on the floor below selling fresh coffee, cakes, pizzas , beers, cocktails and hand made ice cream.

I spend a week in Shanghai for business, and this hotel was good. As everywhere in China the place has a little bit of cigarette smell. Good buffet, restaurant and amenities, only down point the location is quite far from city center, so if your looking for staying close to the city any hotel in Songjiang will not be the best option. Hotel recommended though.
