My boyfriend and i just returned from Costa Rica. We take a yearly vacation to celebrate our birthdays and this was one of our best trips. We started by flying into Liberia, which is a small airport not far from the pacific coast. Jardin arranged for a driver ($80) and we were taken to Tamarindo, about an hour away. Have... More

The grounds at the Jardin del Eden are kept up well, and are probably the best feature of the hotel; wildlife is all around and you will see iguanas, various birds, and howler monkeys right outside your window. Most (but not all) of the rooms are well secluded, giving you privacy. The restaurant is acceptable, but not great. The service... More

This hotel is lovely - the rooms are spacious and very clean and if you get one with an ocean view - they are spectacular. Parking is free and convienent. The restaurant is very good but a bit pricey. The drinks and bar are great! The pool is amazing too. The only downside is you have to walk to the... More

Our first impression of the Jardin Del Eden was not good. The room smelled strange, the room was small and the dirt road in was disturbing. Once we settled in and walked around the staff, particularly the hard working grounds keeper and excellent wait staff, we began to enjoy ourselves. The people, with the exception of the front desk people,... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend and my parents in Feb 2012. The location can't be beat! It's private and secluded but you are at the main road with the beach just on the other side if you take the short private pathway the hotel offers to its guests. The room was nice, but the furniture was a bit dated... More

The grounds were beautiful and basketball hoop in pool lots of fun. The room was okay but original decor was done with cheap furniture and after a few years, really showing it's wear. Not a great value considering price. Nice view of grounds. Dinner in restaurant was TERRIBLE and expensive, the worst food experience we had in CR. Breakfast offerings... More

Tamarindo is a very busy place and probably on the west coast we experienced the most developed and busy. Tamarindo is overrated. However if you experience the city from El Jardin del Eden it is the best of two worlds. One is very private and exclusive, that is the hotel the other an experience to a gorgeous beach and tourist... More

We arrived at the Jardin del Eden for our honeymoon. We decided to go there due to a great review from our friends. What a mistake! We came to the hotel prepared with a coupon from TripAdvisor which they were reluctant to redeem. The girl at the desk spoke English pretty badly and the whole registration process took much longer... More

This is the third time we have visited Tamarindo and this is our third hotel. We wanted to be very central so we decided not to go for actually our favourite Capitain Suizo because its slightly away from the centre and the roads are dark and bumpy at night. We also didn’t want to go back to the Diria because... More

This is a review only for the restaurant of the El Jardin del Eden. We went here for a birthday dinner, and it was awesome: The "duo of salmon and avocado" was heavenly, the surf and turf delicious. The "Peruvian ceviche" was a bit sour for my girlfriend, while her "jumbo shrimps with tropical curry" were really delicious. Prices were... More
