I stayed at Samasati with my mother the second week of May and it was AMAZING! I can't enough good things about our experience at Samasati! It offers a PERFECT balance of relaxation and adventure. Please note, that if air conditioning, TV and internet are musts for you, this is NOT the place for you to stay. Samasati offers a... More

Our 5 night stay with Samasati was possibly the best we have ever had at any hotel! Everything was wonderful. We were woken every morning by the orchestra of jungle animals and rising sun. My favorite part of our stay had to be the shower in our bungalow. It had a screened in view of the jungle and the Carribean... More

My friend and I spent 5 days at Samasati in Feb. We landed there on my birthday. My husband called them ahead of time and asked them if they could do something special for me. They had decorated the room with flowers and along with the welcome information they had left me a cute pair of earrings! Seemed like most... More

We truly enjoyed our stay with Samasati. The vegeterian foodwas very tasty and all the fruits and juices that was served were delicious. We enjoyed our routine yoga practice at your facility and doing the meditation sessions in the evenings were very relaxing. We truly felt that we connected to the nature and we had no tv, laptop, cell phones and... More

I have just spend 1 week at Samasati and it was more than what i was expecting. Food was amazing, staff very friendly, location breathtaking. I have been there with a friend, we have had great yoga classes (Max is a really good teacher, highly recommended); great adventures - excursions (canopy, waterfall and Caco trail) ; great chill out days... We had a wonderful stay at Samasati and were so sad to leave. Our private bungalow with the jungle view was amazing and we loved being away from the city. The vegetarian buffets offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious. I especially enjoyed the ginger tea. The Samasati staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We took three yoga classes... More

I will start off by saying the food was very delicious and fresh. The views are amazing. The Bungalow was very cute and cozy, even with bugs and geckos running about the walls. Most of the staff were friendly. The Bad and the Ugly: Drinking Water: You only get free 20oz bottle of water in the room upon arrival, and... More

My wife and I went to Samasati for our honeymoon. The whole stay was just wonderful! The food that Samasati prepared was top-notch every time. We were so pleased with how helpful, friendly, and accommodating the staff was. We enjoyed being near the beach and Puerto Viejo, where we wandered along the beach and ate at "Bread and Butter." We... More

My friend and I stayed at Samasati on a Groupon for a week in March 2012. We had a fairly small, but extremely clean room in "The Monkey Lodge". The food at the retreat center was absolutely amazing. We have never eaten so well on a vegetarian diet. The communal atmosphere for meals was also conducive to meeting lots of... More

If you're looking to experience Caribbean Costa Rica in an eco-friendly, healthy, peaceful and natural setting, this is the place to go. My teenage son and I had a wonderful stay at Samasati - he took his iPod to get his electronics fix, but we also read and talked a lot. We clearly chose the right time of year as... More
