I originally was at the hostel across the street but moved to Hotel Babaloo after discovering our hostel was infested with cockroaches the size of my hand! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. Our room was spotless, and I enjoyed spending the mornings on the balcony watching the monkeys climb through the jungle. Also, Babaloo's staff was very... More

We had a terrific stay at the Babaloo Inn! Our room was on the second floor overlooking the jungle, which gave us a terrific "canopy" vantage point. While sitting on our balcony, we saw iguanas, squirrel and howler monkeys, geckos, toucans, and other tropical birds. The room and bathroom were clean, fairly large (by Costa Rican standards) and included free... More

I will say that the customer service was absolutely excellent. The staff was VERY friendly, helpful and flexible. They even showed concern for safety (i.e. don't let non-guests go to your door, they must come get you themselves), hence two stars. However, if I could do it all over again, I'd save more and book with La Mansion or Sí... More

Highlight: free wi-fi, size of room, comfortable bed Downside: temperamental hot water, distance to beach and no breakfast We stayed here in Room 3 (the Penthouse!) in December 2011. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a full sized kitchen and balcony (although all the rooms don’t have these). The downside is the rooms do have a bit of... More

We liked our stay here very much. They have two types of rooms and we decided to take the suite room because it looked much nicer and had a kitchen. We stayed in the low season and the price was great value for the money. The owner and the staff were all very nice and helpful. They helped us with... More

Small room, but nicely decorated and lots of shelves for luggage. There's a small refrigerator and AC, although the AC was more like a fan. It didn't cool the room enough. I had a wonderful view of the jungle. My room was quiet, but my friends complained of being awakened by jungle animal sounds. I anticipated bugs in the room,... More

Hello, The Hotel is really basic, but it has a good location and good service (recepcionist). The room was really clean, and it is a good option if you going to Manuel Antonio, beacuse is really close, and the Hotel is only for sleeping! If you stay here, go to Mar Luna, the bar just in front, great service, and... More

Nice place especially if your planning on visiting Manuel Antonio Park. If your not in your room much and only looking for a place to refresh and sleep this is the place. The rooms were actually very clean and our view was of the rain forest. There was a local spider monkey that lived next to the Inn that would... More

My Husband and I stayed at BabaLoo Inn for two nights during a four week trip around Costa Rica. We turned up looking for a room and they only had one large apartment on the top floor left. As there were only two of us and when we promised to pay cash we were given a good discount. The apartment... More

The location of the Babaloo Inn is great- within walking distance to the bus stop that can take you to Manuel Antonio National Park and the beaches. The bus also goes past all the restaurants on the main street. There wasn't anything good about the rooms, but a place to sleep. There was a dead gecko outline on the bathroom... More
