Getting there is a bit of an adventure and requires small plan out of San Jose to Puerto Jimenez, bumpy taxi ride through lovely farmland to Carate and 45 minute walk on the beach to the ecolodge. The bus (truck) picked us up at the collectivo. The ride to carate was bumpy to say the least, but the 45 minute walk along the beach was the walk into heaven, this place is one of the most remote places I've ever stayed.
