A party of 12 arrived at the iron gates with a security system on a Friday and stayed until Tuesday. We were assigned our rooms and went off to enjoy the lovely salt water pool. Sleeping in the fan cooled rooms was disturbed in the night by trucks, dogs, cows and a rooster who didn't crow only at dawn but... More

Sabina serves one if the best breakfasts we've come across in Costa Rica! Comfortable and clean cabins and a nice pool. You do get some noise from the road, but it didn't keep us awake. More

sabina is an amazing host. The place is very cute and clean, the rooms are lovely, and it is very well situated and safe. The breakfast is awesome, it's all home made by Sabina More

We stayed at Alma de Hatillo for one night and we were left with mixed feelings. Our room shared a porch with two other rooms which gave it a kind of motel feel. And our room itself was so small and cramped that we spent next to no time in it. The open air dining hall was the single nicest... More

This B&B is a lovely place to stay if you are in the Dominical area. The owner, Sabina, is a wonderfully kind and caring person who loves her work and does everything to make you feel at home. The rooms are gorgeous, the pool lovely and the grounds are beautiful. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is... More

We spent the first half of our trip with Sabina, after having spent one night in Manuel Antonio, a bit on the touristy side for our taste, we hit the road south to Dominical, and found Sabina on the way. Having read about her homemade chocolate was enough to tempt us, but upon arriving at the property, it got even... More

We stayed at Alma de Hatillo for one night. The room was clean yet on a smaller size for 3 persons. Bed quality was good. There is a nice covered sitting area outside of room and of course, a large swimming pool. Best part of our short stay was the breakfast. Excellent food most of it made by the lovely... More

We stayed one night in the way to the south of costa rica and it was really nice. Sabina welcomed us very friendly and spent some time with us talking about costa rica and some experience she had. She was also interested how we spent our time and where we had been in order to collect some useful info for... More

Remember that line from ads of decades ago? On the spur of the moment on our final days on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, we delved into the Lonely Planet guidebook and found an enthusiastic little review for Sabina's inn, in the tiny village of Hatillo, close to Dominical (itself pretty small!). We drove to the imposing gate and... More

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Alma de Hatillo for 2 nights while on our honeymoon in Costa Rica. The property is lush with vegetation and teaming with so many types of birds we lost count. We miss our afternoon swims in the pool and the open air restaurant was the perfect setting for homemade organic meals. The... More
