I stayed here while having dental work nearby. The rooms were large and very clean. The linens were luxurious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful...especially Leo. He helped me book a great rafting trip and find a wonderful rental car company. The continental breakfast was very good. Upon checkin, they even give you a free drink coupon for their... More

This was our first hotel after landing in San Jose. The hotel itself is OK, but it is located on a narrow busy street filled with trucking companies, automotive parts suppliers, and other light industry businesses. There is plenty of noise on the street and it reverberates against the two story hotel. The hotel is small and the service at... More

We just needed a place to stay for one night on our trip from the Caribbean coast back to Guanacaste on the west coast. My husband found the Beacon Hotel online; we didn't make reservations but just drove to it (using the help of the nice lady on Garmin!). It turned out to be a beautiful little place. The rooms... My tour company booked us into Hotel Beacon for the night prior to our Costa Rica tour. It is a comfortable and clean hotel with large rooms and comfortable beds. I thought the towels could use replacements, showing their wear. Although the tile was clean, there were stains on the floor tile that had a "soiled" appearance. That bothered me.... More

Beacon Escazu is sweet little hotel, hidden in the curvy roads of San Jose. The room was clean and simply decorated, which I liked. The shower is amazing and the interior patio was a peaceful addition to the room. The staff was helpful as we needed to make travel arrangements to and from the airport and city. Breakfast was included... More

Our travel agent booked us at the Hotel Beacon Escazu for the beginning and end of a Costa Rican vacation. We were quite delighted when we arrived to find such a clean and well appointed hotel, especially after spending a week in a very remote area of Nicaragua with only basic amenities. It is a small boutique hotel with a... More

I stayed here for 3 nights because of business in San Jose. It was a cushy place without the price. Staff spoke great English even tho my companion was fluent in Spanish. We took a cheap easy bus ride into the city, and found good Costa Rican and great Mexican food within a few blocks of the hotel. More

One never knows what one is getting one's self into when booking sight unseen (except for internet reviews and hotel site) but .... Hotel Beacon Escazu was indeed a pleasant surprise. This is a very pretty and well maintained hotel in Escazu which is just outisde of San Jose. The staff are FABULOUS! They were all very kind and accommodating.... More

We stayed here for one night before heading out the next day to La Fortuna, and although the hotel was very nice, the neighborhood was less than desirable. It was incredibly difficult to find when driving, and signage to help you find the hotel is misleading. We had to stop and ask a couple of people where it was. A... More

I stayed her whilst on business. My first room's hot water tap in the shower did not work. I had to ask several times to have this repaired. Eventually they changed my room. There was also a funny mouldy smell in the room, like damp. There was no fantastic spa or exercise room like the one on their website. And... More
