I don't want to repeat everything good that's been recorded here already but at the risk of being redundant: This place is WONDERFUL! I spent 3 months researching places to stay, from Anchorage to Seward. Anchorage and Seward had OUTRAGEOUS prices for cookie-cutter rooms (such as Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn) PLUS 12% tax for something and ANOTHER 7% tax for... More

We spent two nights in Girdwood in August to break up our drive from Seward to Denali. I chose Timberline Drive BnB as there were 4 or possibly 6 of us, and we prefer accommodations that give us maximum privacy in shared space. Also, we prefer sel-catering over having someone cook breakfast for us. The Chalet at Timberline Drive met... More

I recently stayed at the bunkhouse and was very pleased with this "budget" choice. Gail, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating. Since there wasn't anyone staying at the unit the night after us, Gail allowed a late check out so we could get a shower after hiking all day and before departing to the airport. We really appreciated this!... More

My 2 children and I spent 1 night in this beautiful house. We had a lovely suite and felt like at home. Gail, the owner, is friendly and advised us on the activities and restaurants in Girdwood. We spent part of the evening in the hot tub:). The breakfast was excellent and plentiful (muffins, cereals, oatmeal, juices, home made jam,... More

Gail, the owner was so organized, friendly and prepared for our 2 night stay. she thought of every deatil, this was a real home for our 2 days. In fact she under states the facts, she offers more. I brought my Netflix movie... Secret goodies: home made jam and wheat bread. Cabinets stocked with all you need to cook. Nice... More

My husband and I stayed in the Chalet which was absolutely gorgeous (was just like the picture on their website). We wanted to stay near Girdwood for a night because we were taking the Alpine Air Alaska helicopter tour the next day, but found you have to either stay in a BnB or at the Alyeska Hotel. Normally, my husband... More

I live in Anchorage but was looking for a place to crash over the weekend in Girdwood for a two day bike ride. I reviewed Tripadvisor and settled on the Timberline Drive B&B. I'd actually clarify this place as a vacation rental vs. a B&B, as I have stayed in both B&B's and vacation rentals. I'd call it a vacation... More

We actually have switched over from being a bnb to now just being a vacation rental. We do still provide breakfast material, ie coffee beans, teas, milk, orange juice, muffins, fresh sourdough bread, eggs, homemade jams, cereals, oatmeal, etc... This is all stocked in your kitchen for you to cook when convenient. More

We stayed here for 3 nights during our vacation on the Kenai Peninsula. While staying here, we visited the Alyeska Resort, Winner Creek Trail, The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and Portage Glacier. As their web-site describes, the Timberline BnB is actually two apartments in a building the size of a moderately large house. We had the "suite" side, which was... More

We have had black out blinds throughout the house since 2001 and this is the first time anyone has brought up the high window as an issue. We will go ahead and order a blind for that window as we do want all who stay to sleep well. As for the hot tub, yes it is shared between both sides... More

The four of us traveling together stayed at Timberline BB in July 2011 on our way to Seward. The place is great and spotless. Gail has thought of everything you need and put it in the chalet for you to use. We were on a time schedule otherwise we would have liked to stay longer. There is a lot of... More

Very comfortable and very clean. Everything here is first class. Fireplace with starter logs ready for use. Fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Owners live next door and are... More
