I stayed at the White Star motel for 4 nights at the end of February 2013. The unit was very comfortable and clean. It was also quiet and away from the busy main road. The owners were very nice and friendly, and gave me direction to places that I wanted to visit in Timaru. Carolyn

I totally endorse the comments of Sue W - and actually neither of us are hard to please. Spent three nights in Timaru to attend squash tournament. Very friendly hosts. Spacious unit for myself, wife and teenage boys. Very clean and off the main road for a good night's sleep. Excellent value for money. Loved the personal touch of the tea leaves in the jar to make a nice cup of tea.

Within the range of accomodation available within this room tariff the White Star Motel was wonderful. Large homely units with a large Kitchen and Bathroom. Shear luck, everywhere else was full,saw sign for 12 Star gave it a try. lovely welcome,slightly dated furniture otherwise every requiremant fuffilled. Clean and tidy. would recommend to anyne travelling in that area. Dave and Mary Songhurst. uk
