We went to Alaska to be in the wilderness of that wonderful country. We saw a lot that we loved. But when we arrived in Caribou Lodge we felt arrived in what we were looking for. That place is wild and wonderful. And far away of civilization, but by plane we flew to there in about 20 minutes. The cabins... More

I too found the lodge on-line and decided to include it in a summer trip to USA and Canada although it required a float-plane journey to get there!.That was just the start of the experience which proved to be wonderful. We landed on the lake in front of the lodge and were welcomed like friends right from the start. Mike... More

We found the Lodge online and fit it into our itinerary from Talkeetna. It was a fantastic experience with great hosts, Mike and Pam. They are warm and welcoming; they gave us a great 3 day visit. Pam is an excellent cook and opens her home/lodge to you. Mike is an extraordinary guide and story-teller, from funny to adventurous tales.... More

When you stay at the Caribou Lodge in Alaska you'll find out! With all the awesome reviews already given it is difficult to mention something new. Everything I read I completely agree with. Mike and Pam are remarkable hosts. The location of their lodge is in a stunning and remote area. Pam's homemade food is fresh, wholesome, veggies whatever there... More

We often get folks here who fit well, some more than others, your interest in our lives, country, wildlife and lifestyle makes it easy to share. And sorry for being so slow to respond, it was not very long ago we found out we could. Thank you! More

This is the 3rd vacation that we have spent at Caribou Lodge but it is the first in the summer. Totally different in summer than in winter, but as always, magical. The lodge is simply set in one of the best views in the world. When there are no clouds, you see Denali, Hunter and Foraker. Of course, there are... More

This is the place where we learned how few things we really needed to be happy. It's so peaceful there and Mike & Pam are great hosts who make their home a paradise for those who want to enjoy nature - without ever being disturbed by any unnatural noise. The cabins are nice and comfortable and kept meticulously clean. Pam's... More

Thank you for your comments, they are appreciated. We some times get so used living here in the silence...we can't hear it. However after a trip out to town...on getting home, the peace and quiet is renewed. Thanks for coming! More

Staying with Mike & Pam was a great experience and certainly one of the most rewarding things we've done in our lives so far. In our four day visit we managed to completely forget about our busy lives and enjoy the beautiful Alaskan wilderness.
