If you're going to stay in Talkeetna, I'd highly recommend the Roadhouse. 4 of us enjoyed our stay, cozy and clean. Great people and quaint town. Loved the atmosphere. The town has a lot of good shops and restaurants. Roadhouse has great food and a fantastic bakery. If we ever go back to Alaska we will surely be back to stay at the roadhouse

Undeniably the best place i have stayed while travelling. The owner is baker, driver, hotelier extrordinair! She is so kind and helpful. The pie making class is a must if you can. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The food downstairs is to die for!! Loads of facilites like internet, phone use and laundry. Would love to go back!!!

Cozy room, AMAZING service, good food, and great location. Easy walking distance to everything in town, and Trish hooked me up with a ride when it came time to haul my luggage up the hill to the lodge to catch the bus to Denali. Highly recommended.

A very old Roadhouse in the quirkly little town of Talkeetna. Fabulous wild salmon pastie. Great place to meet the locals. Didn't stay here but had lunch. A definate stop on your Alask adventure. Great little (and I mean little) shops all around.

Perfect place to stay. Old and charming. We stayed in the museum apartment which was spacious and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. It was expensive but worth it for the location. The staff is very helpful and nice. The service in the restaurant was almost non-existent but the food was excellent. The bakery is the best!!

Authentic Alaska at its best. Homey, cozy, friendly, warm, rustic, local. Time and the worries of life disappear here. We did a Alaska cruise and some time in Anchorage and a few days in Talkeetna at the Roadhouse. By far the road house was the highlight of our trip!
