The resort is very nice, well maintained, the weather superb. However there are several things you should be aware of. 1. Staff was great, helpful and friendly. All of them are always asking you Wher are you from and then try to reply few words in your language to make you happy - it is nice, when you don´t have to do that 100x a day 2. When you support them with some small bank note, they will do their max for satisfying you (find you a table, remember what you drink and bringing you cold beverages) - however when you don´t (and there is majority of the second group as i saw), they are still friendly and helpful 3. Resort is great, there are people taking care of (at least when we were there, as owner of the resort spends a holiday there), pools are crystal clear, greenery is great, no complains there 4. Drinks - the wine is awful, i don´t understand, how is possible to serve such a terrible quality wine, when the majority of tourists are from Italy (owner has italian wife and resort is focused for Italians - they know what good quality wine is about and i am very surprised they don´t complain - so my suggestion is - don´t expect good wine there..... generaly speaking about alcohol - standard egyptian alcohol - who has been there knows what to expect and lower quality of this alcohol is compensated by large amount of it once you ask for any drink on menu 5. Food - well, after few days you realise, that you get beef, chicken, fish and pasta - every lunch, every dinner.. second week you feel weak when you are supposed to go for meal - don´t think it is not eatable, but there is lack of creativity.... i understand that Egypt is a muslim country, so they don´t eat pork, but this is resort primaly for europeans and they might offer also some other meat, like goat, mutton or some other 6. Shopping possibilities - NONE. There are several shops there, directly behind reception, but that is extremely expensive - Club soda for 4 dollars is an example of it all - i was ripped by guy selling tea, herbs and natural products, as i got solar alergy and this guy sold me (after discussion with other "nice guy" from Viva subs something "total natural what helps in matter of hours" for 150 EUR, what i later realised (as i bought the same in Port Ghalieb in pharmacy) was just Calamyl for 8 dollars. His name is "Pepe" as he calls himself... so big warning if you want to buy anything there 7. SPA - we had several massages and it was great, staff helpful and they know what they do - you can choose from a large offer and there is always a guy who goes around beach and pools and makes special offers for you 8. Shopping possibilities outside the hotel - once a week there is a shuttle to Port Ghalieb (30 USD per person), but it is about 2 hours away and at least you can buy there groceries for normal price, not for 1000% surgarge you pay in hotel markets...dont forget this resort is in the middle of nowhere - looks like it is the last resort on south - desert on three sides and Red sea on the last one.... 9. my recomendation is to take Delux room, it was very nice and modern 10. last thing is time difference, which applies only for this hotel and Gemma as i was told - they have +1 hour to egyptian and european time - the explanation was, that they have sunset very early and so people can enjoy the sunny day (we did not have a single cloud for the entire vacation), but it is kind of confusing for all, so you have to always ask whether they mean egytion time or Fantazia time (makes troubles for trips, airport shuttles, etc. 11. animation - every day in the evening there is some kind of program for italian tourists, which is very loundly, but ends at 10 p.m. and then is the resort very quiet 12. i can add much more, but nobody will read it anyway, so i stop here...if you have any questions, don´t hesitate to ask and i will reply with pleasure…
