My girlfriend and I have just returned from a week at the Abo Nawas and we were exhiliarated how well kept this resort is. We did not pre-book but walked right in and got a very fair rate for the double room with half board. The staff is extremely helpfull, especially the front desk manager who helped us with many... Spent one week at Abo Nawas in Marsa Alam with my brother. We are aged 31 (me) and 23. The only negative thing in our stay was the presence of terrible mosquitos (only during the night) that made it impossible to sleep. The hotel provides a disinfestation service every evening before dinner, both outdoor (beaches, gardens, etc) than inside guests'... More

The hotel was nicely set out in lovely well managed gardens. The pool area offered something for everyone, and also included a bar in the middle. The food was of good quality but if you are used to 5* in other countries do not expect the same. There was a large choice and plenty for everyones taste. The local beer... More

I stayed here in March , the hotel is all inclusive , if you are able, get a room in the 300 series as they are near to the pool/reception/bar etc , those that stayed in the 500/600 had problems with hot water. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly , there is nowhere nearby to go for food... More

I was very nervous of staying in this hotel as there seemed very little written about it. Having just returned with my 6yr old son this is a lovely friendly small hotel, beautifully kept. I couldnt fault it . Although I was on my own there was no problem with the men. The other clients ,Italians and Germans were great.The... More

Our stay in the hotel was realy relaxing, all of the personal was very friendly. The food was ok, except fish. Other things like (clorhine) water, spraying against bugs and moscitos are normal for this part of our planet Earth. So, if you are not expecting the high european style of vacation, you might be more than happy there. It's... More

Firstly if you have not travelled to this area of Egypt then you must understand that Marsa Alam is a small village with no tourist attractions or amenities. Similarly El Quseir which is about 100 kilometers further north is a small urbanised town again with little or no cultural feel or appeal. What you have here is 400 kilometers of... More

Just arrived home from spending a week all inclusive at the Abu Nawas Hotel. This holiday was booked through ON THE BEACH. No transfers included in the package. OK first report and first time to Egypt!! I am very impressed with it all. After much worry about trying to get transfers sorted out (many phone emails sent, no replies!!) I... More
