This is a great place to stay and relax. We enjoyed their hospitality and were very impressed by their friendliness and willingness to be accommodating. They have been there for about 50 years and were very knowledgeable about the area.

Ellen thank you for your review. The number 50 looks like a long time ago but yet it doesn't seem that long ago. Glad you enjoyed your stay and we enjoyed your company.

This was a wonderful experience after driving for hours and hours without any decent hotels or civilization around. The staff was more than accomodating and friendly, the rooms cozy, clean and cute. I drove from Florida to Alaska staying in several hotels along the way and even the shampoo was of good quality. If I were ever in that area...

Thank you for the very nice recommendation. It was nice visiting with you. Even though this was a one time trip your memories of Alaska will be there forever.

We apologize for taking so long to write this but doubt if the rating has changed since our visit. Burnt Paw/Cabins Outback, owned by Bill and Nancy Arpino, is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Alaska. Located in Tok, on the Alaska Highway (Alcan) about 90 miles west of the Canadian Border, they have eight cute, very clean cabins...

Have traveled through Tok numerous times and always stay in the Cabins Out Back. The themed cabins are delightful and always neat and clean. Very nice breakfast room and breakfast. Waffles made to order. One of the few places in Tok that is open all year.
In a town with very few accommodations (especially in the shoulder seasons) I found that this was a great place to spend the night on our way to Anchorage. We came in mid April so the town was still mostly shut down. The cabins were very modern and clean, nicely furnished and they even had satellite tv which was nice....

Spent three days there last July on our Alaska vacation. The cabins were very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was good and everyone made sure we were welcome. While staying over we visited Chicken a fun place to go,
During our trip in August 2012 we stopped in the town of Tok 92 miles from the Canadian border along the famous ALASKA HIGHWAY and after reading the comments on Trip we booked a cabin with green grass growing on the roof!! Very good choice! The cabin was small for the three of us – it was the last one...

Cold and dark outside, but our little cabins were very cozy and quiet. And the owner prepared a great breakfast of waffles and jam, among other items, with plenty of hot coffee. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
What a great welcome to the state of Alaska staying at Burnt Paw. I had read trip advisor reviews recommending Burnt Paw and I agree 100% that it is the place to stay in Tok. The cabins are very clean and individually decorated with rustic decor. The breakfast is very tasty. They offered french toast, but you had to order...

We stayed at the Burnt Paw cabins at the beginning if June and the end if June after our driving tour of Alaska. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and the cabins are just so cute. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is first class and we would have not hesitation in recommending this accommodation to others.
