My wife and I spent 6 weeks at this hotel while she was undergoing reconstructive surgery. The staff, the rooms, the food, all exceeded expectations by a long way. Really nothing noteworthy about this hotel - just a standard Protea Hotel. For those not used to Protea hotels, they are really good! Stayed there 7 nights in June 2011 and again 7 nights in January 2012. Staff are friendly, hotel is clean and pleasantly decorated. Room has a big, comfortable bed with firm pillows. I rather enjoyed this hotel for the most part, but then, we were only briefly stayong in jo-berg before heading out to explore south africa. The location is not convenient to much- you will have to take a cab. Service and wifi were inconsistent. Food was good. More
