My Husband and I honeymooned at Jock in April 2013 and were absolutely blown away with the luxury, the atmosphere, the service, everything! Down to the tiniest detail, they have got it spot on and we loved every moment. Patrick, our Ranger, was absolutely amazing making sure we saw everything and made the most of our first ever safari. He... More

Booked into Fitzpatricks for 3 nights in Feb 2013. We were the only guests at the time and had a lovely cottage with a private patio and view across the river. Naome (hostess) and Pete (the ranger) were exceptional and gave us a very warm welcome. The food was plentiful with ample choice and delicious. The safari drives in the... More

We recently stayed four nights at the Jock and had a wonderful family safari holiday in comfort and style. The facilities, while retaining a rustic charm that is in keeping with their environment, still offer a touch of luxury after a hard day on the trail of the local wildlife. The outdoor shower with views of the river was a... More

A birthday trip for me with my 2 teenage boys ended perfectly here at Jock. The whole experience will stay with us forever thanks to the beautifully tasteful, clean acommodation, the copious amounts of delicious food (forget any weight loss regime!), the knowledge snd passion of our ranger, Barend. He didn't want to bring us back in from each game... More

All the South African tour books for Kruger National Park said to do some days in a SANS Park spot and a couple days at a private reserve. We spent considerable time researching places and decided Jock was the best for the value. While the national park facilities were clean, inexpensive and were great for budget safari's, comparing the public... More

My husband and I spent three nights at Jock Safari lodge in March, and had an incredible experience. As other reviewers have noted, you spend most of your time with your ranger and the others in your group (max of six people), and we were lucky to be assigned to the wonderful Mica. His knowledge of Kruger was impressive --... More

Our stay Jock Safari Lodge was amazing. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our ranger, Lazarus, was phenomenal. Thanks to him we managed to see all of the Big 5, which does not happen often. This was quite magical. I would prefer to have a shower inside, as well as the outside shower. Decor can be updated, as... More

WOW. Three letters to sum the 4 day experience myself and my wife had at Jock. All the staff are like one big happy family and that rubs off on all the guests who come to stay at the lodge. The main reason why everyone is here is to see the wildlife, but you are exposed to an impeccably run... More

If you're a birder you could do far worse than stay at Jock.In 6 days here at this wonderful Lodge I had 42 species in the Main Lodge grounds and 60 on drives in their concession. We had 162 in total on the game drives thanks mainly due to the birding expertise of our Ranger,Estiaan.
