This is a new property on the outskirts of Mafikeng. Reception - Polite, warm people. Large airy space, well decorated, welcoming and modern. Room - about 150 feet plus a full bathroom. Well decorated in a clean modern style, with a desk. The windows open. Clean. Bed - very comfortable full double, good linens. Bathroom - large, full bath/shower combo.... More

I stay at the Protea Hotel for about 20/30 nights every year for business, I am yet to find anything negative to say. The manager runs a tight ship and always goes the extra mile, the staff are friendly, well trained and very efficient, (they even remember patrons names!) it is nice to confirm Tripadvisor's rating of this hotel as Number 1 in Mafikeng. We stayed at both major hotels in Mafikeng between 1st September - 5th September. We stayed at the Protea Hotel Mafikeng from the 13th/14th July 2008. My party consisted of two adults and two children (aged 9 and 7 years).
