My experience here ranged from the exceptional to the poor: Good location for walking to reaturants, etc. = plus. Poorly trained front desk staff = biggest drawback. Two seriously negative interactions with them would have ruined my stay except that the conference staff are so good (esp. Jo) that it made up for it. I work in S. Africa a... More

Rooms nice, even got an upgrade to a suite without asking. Hotel generally worn down, floors chipped, showers leaking away from drains, dirty table cloths at breakfast. All ok to live with, but not 5 star as prices would indicate. Service good, keen cheerful staff, no free internet, even in reception, weak for an expensive hotel. You can find better... More

We stayed 5 nights at the hotel as part of a group. On the positive side: Staff were great and friendly. The location is good in a quiet neighbourhood with only a 10 min walk to Long Street. Pool area is small but with spectacular views of Table Mountain. Breakfast was very good. There were electrical sockets for “all” European/US... More

It's the mark of a good hotel for me when you feel sad on the day you check out. After 21 nights I can honestly say that my early apprehensions about 3 weeks in an independently owned and managed hotel just outside the city centre may prove to be well founded. They were not. Whilst I could easily and legitimately... More

We have stayed for 8 nights at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and assisted us with all our requests. We stayed in the luxury room, with a nice bath and a big LCD screen, which was very nice and comfortable. The issues we had with the room were fixed after short time for our satisfaction. The location is... More

This hotel is within a 30-minute walk from the waterfront, Long street, the aquarium, several museums and many good restaurants. The hotel staff is most helpful, the meals are excellent. Many of the rooms are currently undergoing renovations so it will be even better when done.

Stayed for 3 nights on first visit to Cape Town.Offered a basic room, which was dirty with badly stained carpets, noisy and quite small. Threatened to check out immediately if not offered better room, and offered a luxury room.Certainly a little bigger and definitely cleaner. All rooms have paper thin walls,so hope you do not get people either side,as you will hear everything,,,,,... More

Staff were friendly and nice. Love the complementary shuttle service to certain areas of Capetown, which really helps if you don't have a car. We stayed in the suite and it was amazing with the views of Table Mountain and the ocean. Close to local cafes and restaurants.
