I must have stayed in this hotel many times, it always been great, ever since my first visit in 1997. Its essential to get a front suite, with the bedroom at the front, much more spacious and housekeeping standards are great. Food is not always good, very variable but with so many good restaurants around, its not a problem. Lots... More

We stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions (once because we were disgusted with another hotel that the timeshare company sent us to). The shuttle bus is great, a safe way to get around the city (driving can be pretty scary in the city , hire a car to go wandering or ask the hotel for tours). Clean linen every... More

The rooms were very spacious and we had an amazing view from our balcony. The location of the hotel was great as well, with loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance and the wine farms and camps bar were just a short drive away. We also enjoyed the welcome drinks and snacks on the Monday evening. However I was... More

We return to the Peninsula year after year for very good reasons. Great Location and amazing staff. Frankly I'm amazed at the allegations previous mentioned of theft at this resort. Although we use the safe, we have left watches, phones, a few hundred rand, ipods etc in our rooms and we would be stunned if they went missing. We have... More

Having just returned from The Peninsula I would like to rate it as 6 star not 5. I would also like to award 10 stars to the staff. I would suggest any person thinking of visiting Cape Town to look no further than 'The Pen' Visit their website to see it all - the photo's do it justice.

We stayed here for 4 days end of Jan. Had a minisuite for me and my friend, clean, safe and stunning view. Just don't ask for an irioning board, took two days for housekeeping to bring me one! I have to commend the two drivers who drive the shuttle for the hotel, they both exellent and proffesional. The hotel provides... More

My family and I stayed at the Peninsula from 18 Jan 2012 for five nights. This resort hotel is rated five star but the furnishings and carpet is dated , old , and overused.Furthermore the worst is the stealing from guest by staff. My daughter had her watch stolen from a locked bag. Six months prior to this I stayed at... More
