Arriving at the hotel of an evening, after 21 hours of travelling, we were met by the most helpful and wonderful staff. The service from this establishment over our 5-day stay, was of the highest degree. From happy and courteous staff, down to the tiny things of supplying our breakfast table with hot milk for coffee, down to the head... More

Reasonable old style hotel 3 minutes walk away from the V&A marina, shops and restaurants Not your average large chain hotel and not the most modern or luxurious, but a nice place. Service was good, breakfast great, bar works ! But i suggest walking to the V&A and trying some of the many restaurants for dinner.

Great Hotel and the location makes it easy to walk to the V & A Waterfront. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist with anything you may need. Rooms were comfortable and well laid out. Breakfast buffet offered a wide sellection to suit most tastes. Definitely worth a visit.

I stayed here alone on my first trip ever to Cape Town, or S. Africa for that matter. The hotel is within a nice short walk of a beautiful mall, Victoria Wharf, which is on the WaterFront area of Cape Town. Location is wonderful here. You can choose to eat dinner at Commodore, which I did and it was excellent,... More

Great staff , from the Manager to the housemaids . Breakfasts were excellent too. Our three nights stay was a most enjoyable base for all our sight seeing tips in and around Capetown The rooms were spacious with plenty of natural light Reception staff all very helpful and knowledgable . Would stay there again in the future!

Our travel agent booked us into this hotel at the end of a one month journey through Africa. The location is fantastic, well located next to the waterfront, but the rooms were so tight for space that it was difficult to walk around the perimeter of the beds. (two twins pushed together, instead of a king) Upon our arrival the... More

This hotel has a great location next to the downtown waterfront of Cape Town. It has an old world charm that is pleasantly nostalgic. Rooms are comfortable and clean. It would be preferred if hotel maintenance wouldn't paint at 8 am however, then turn the fan on to have it dry quicker and not pay attention as to where the... More

Initially our travel agent booked us into very small rooms which we quickly upgraded to something more comfortable. Other than that we find this hotel to be very pleasant. We have the breakfast option and it is plentiful. Very European in style. Service is good. The best thing is the location within walking distance to the wonderful harbor area with... More

Stayed here for three nights as part of a honeymoon trip. Booked and paid for a double room only to be given a twin bedroom on arrival. We had the option to either stay in this room or move to a double bedroom but with no bath tub. The decor is something from the 1950s and is in desperate need... More

Really nice people work here but let's be clear, the last time the decor here was fashionable, I do believe I owned a pet rock. The beds are small and rock hard. The pillows and comforters are apparently a compost heap of cotton batting...likely just an extension of the nautical theme circa 1972. The location is great but as this... More
