We only slept one night in this place where Bruce and his dogs give you a warm welcome. Parking is safe, gard in the night. Nice clean and tasteful room with bath and shower. We had a very good diner in the recommended Bistro opposite the street. Well positioned to visit the city centre on foot. If we will come... More

We just came back from a wonderful trip to Cape Town, the Garden Route, and the Durban area. We stayed at Rose Lodge in Cape Town from March 8 to March 12 and after a 3 day trip on the Garden Route we returned to Rose Lodge for one more night. It was like coming home! Meeting Bruce and his... More

At the end of a 4 week trip through South Africa and namibia I spent the last 2 nights at the Rose Lodge It was a perfect ending to a wonderful trip. Bruce and his team [including Teddy and Coco] provided a friendly, clean, and reasonbly priced accommodation in a superior location - walking distance to many attractions and the... More

This is a very reasonably priced and cosy place to stay in the middle of Cape Town in colourful Bo Kap. Bruce and his lovely dogs are very welcoming, the homemade breakfast muffins delicious, the bed linen wonderful and the bath and storm shower amazing! We'll definitely stay again.

We recently spent a night at Rose Lodge and really enjoyed it. The rooms are very clean and modern. We really enjoyed the bath at the end of a long day in Cape Town. Bruce is very friendly and gave us lots of useful information. We are now staying at the Fritz for a few nights, which is more expensive,... More

The price is very reasonable for a nice room in Cape Town. Bruce is very friendly and does his best to make your stay as good as possible. The surrounding area is pretty sketchy, not a place where you can safely walk around at night. Finding parking on the street during the day can be difficult. Breakfast is good (cereal,... More

Thank you for taking us in on such a short notice! The service was impeccable, the rooms were really nice and the location was only a short walk from the city centre. We highly recommend Rose Lodge!

I was very disappointed with the service I received from Bruce. He lied to me when I was trying to make for my client! If he can do that to me, I would HATE to see how he will treat my clients - how disappointing!! Interestingly, this was one of the only places with availability over the dates I needed... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend just after New Year during the so-called "Coloured" carnival and had a superb view from outside the apartment on Wale St. Both apartments are in an excellent location in a fascinating part of town within easy walking distance of the train station and major sights. Bruce is a fantastic host - one of the... More
