First impression was that The Cellars-Hohenort isn't your regular business trip hotel, and I would've rather stayed in the city, but the delicious cheese plate I had for lunch was only a shadow of things to come. The medium-rare sirloin steak I ordered for dinner was simply gorgeous!
Massive surprise, and certainly worth a return later, perhaps a getaway weekend...

A wonderful, if pricey experience. Rooms are beautifully appointed. There is an old world charm to the establishment. One gets the feeling of living in a manor house.

Tucked in a historical property in the exclusive Constantia. Amazing setting. Staff very helpful. Excellent restaurants (even the Observatory!!) Really really enjoyed my stay here.
Stayed at the Cellars for the second time in March 2012. We were given the same suite with our own garden, very quiet and private.All room amenities are first class. An excellent five star hotel with extremely attentive and friendly staff. Set in beautiful surroundings well located in the attractive Constantia valley. We stayed for three nights after our arrival in Capetown in February before setting off for Plettenberg. The restaurants were first class and we would definitely stay again. Sarah and Tony Faulkner

Stayed at The Cellars for 5 nights in January 2012. Everything was perfect. A large room with complimentary bottle of wine, welcoming and helpful staff and outstanding grounds. The Green house Restaurant is outstanding. A fantastic relaxing stay in beautiful weather.

The gardens are out of this world. Do not miss walking in all of them with your camera. Restaurants have very good food. Staff ensure a warm and attentionate welcome. Memorable stay. Car is needed though the hotel is located 10 mn away from town.

A wonderful setting for a small workshop, but let down badly by poor admin support. Data projector was not in place as requested. Dietary requirements of guests totally ignored. Only fish as a main course when they had been informed of a serious fish allergy. No provision for Halal after similar booking advice.
