Milkwood proved to be the highlight of a 3 week holiday for my guest, a German tourist. The atmosphere and warmth is noticed as soon as Linda welcomes you. The room we stayed in was large, much bigger than any hotel room. The view from our patio was spectacular and the location is perfect. 5 minutes drive takes you to... More

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Peace and tranquil - so close to the beautiful Grotto beach and very accessible to the town. A warm and welcoming atmosphere and great hospitality from Linda. Our young son and his cousin loved it and were in tears when we had to leave - says it all !!!! Thank you for a great time.... More

A very nice place, even though it is a bit out of town. Large and well appointed room and excellent breakfast. Only complaint was the WiFi- could not access it from thre room- had to sit outside the office

Our stay was wonderful. I could not have asked for more as Linda is a very hospitable hostess who really made us feel welcome. The rooms are beautiful, exceptionally clean and large. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. So glad we changed our mind and decided to stay at Milkwood Lodge instead. We will definately come and stay there again.

The Milkwood Lodge is a great base for whale watching (about 10 min drive to the town centre) & close to Gansbaai (half an hour) for the sharks. Linda & her husband are very accommodating & knowledgeable & happy to help in any way they can to ensure a great stay. We had a self catering lodge on a B&B... More

We stayed at Milkwood Lodge for 2 nights during our honeymoon. For a guest house/B&B it is a high standard. I was surprised at how large the rooms were, they werent the most modern but I thought it added to the feel of the place and it was comfortable and clean. The only thing i missed was a dressing table... More

After returning from living in America, I have just spent 10 days at Milkwood Lodge in Hermanus. Linda and George couldn't have done more; they made me feel at home and I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are set back from the road in a lovely garden with beautiful old Milkwood trees. I would highly recommend this guest house... More

Wonderful stay to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Linda and George made us so welcome. She turned herself into a pretzel, creating vegetarian meals for us, and treating us like royalty. This has spoilt us by setting the standard very high! Can't wait to return. Thalia and Nina.

The Milkwood Lodge is 10km from the centre of Hermanus, which was further than we were led to believe. However, the room was clean and spacious, if a little dated. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. They even went so far as lending us long sleeved tops to go kayaking and facililated a late breakfast for us. A lovely... More

Thank you for your kind words and response to your stay at Milkwood Lodge. We appreciate your feedback. With regard to the location of Milkwood Lodge - we would just like to point out that the entire length of the cliff path, hugging the coastline, from Grotto Beach to the new Harbour is only 11 kms, with the Old Harbour... Having spent several days travelling through the garden route making our way back towards Cape Town we were looking forward to spending two nights in this 4 star Luxury Hotel - which is what we were led to believe it would be (we booked through a tailor made travel company). Unfortunately when we arrived we were faced with George telling... More
