Very central and friendly/ helpfull staff! However the room was very outdated, and could use an upgrade. It’s not very cozy. You get what you pay for. The included breakfast should not be called breakfast, it’s truly bad. It’s fine to serve simple breakfast, but then do it well. The utilities in the kitchen which you can use is not clean, it’s visitors own responsibility to clean up after themselves, but the drawers are sticky and could use a proper cleanse.

Nice place. Dorms are very good but not 4 +4, more 8/2 (Need to cross à dorm separated by a curtain to join the bathroom). We had stayed 15!hours without water, not there fault but without the boss the personnel didn’t took any initiative. Anyway, nice people, clean cute and safe place, well located (with a car use).

I did not expect this... The owner goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable... I felt a bit bad for him..he really goes all out The place is clean, feels safe. sleeping arrangements do not make you feel like its a backpacker... no one is ever in another's way... The toilets and showers and toilets are clean and they cater for everyone adequately... The main difference between this Jembjos backpacker and the others is that this one feels like home... The setup makes you feel like home... you will even forget that you are on holiday... Wonderful... You can take a whole family with you and they will love it. Location is excellent... you can walk to the main shopping centre where all the supermarkets are and you can also walk to the knysna waterfront where all the restaurants are. I also enjoyed the breakfast ...as modest as it is. you will enjoy it because of its modesty.. something different from the traditional ones. It does not hurt that the owner loves English Football as well ..lol.. Safe locked parking adequate for 5 cars... first come first served

Excellent overnight stay. Walking distance from the waterfront. Bed and bedding and towels are fresh and clean. Even a mosquito repellent and a fan in the room. Free wi-fi. Personnel are the best hosts ever!

Room was pretty small what would not be a problem. However, it was also dirty (we found some hairs on the bad, in the shower was mould, toilet brush broken). It was very noisy outside on the common area where our room was facing to. Location was very central.
