Not much more to add to all the amazing reviews below. The rooms are wonderful, stay as long as you can, dinner isn't 6 courses but you don't mind at all. Highlight of a pretty long trip and I would go back in a hearbeat.

An exceptional treat is awaiting you if you book in to the Phantom Forest Eco Reserve. The accommodation is very special with indoor and outdoor bathrooms on private, tree top suites. The service and food were excellent. The eco approach felt very genuine with the reserve blending seamlessly with the environment. A masterpiece of South African development.

This was our 2nd stay at Phantom Forest and we definitely weren't disappointed! The rooms are just unbelievable - from the bath with the view into the forest to the four poster bed - everything is just perfection. Treat yourself whether you think there's an occasion or not, it's worth it. A magical setting high up in the forest overlooking the Knysna estuary. The service and food are outstanding and the menu created each night is imaginative. Be warned, bring your wallet. It is not cheap but worth it.
