We landed in Amanzi Lodge after a night in Mossel Bay and wished we had spent 2 nights in Knysna and forgotten about Mossel Bay. The room was fantastic, the breakfast was great and the owners were so helpful and lovely. Hands down Amanzi Lodge was the best place to stay on the Garden Route!!

Beautifully located and appointed guest house, with stunning views across the lagoon towards the Heads. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated with a large bathroom (with underfloor heating). Breakfast was to a high standard and Cathy and Simon very welcoming and on hand to give advice on what to do and see. Bikes and canoes are available to borrow.... More

Amanzi sure was the best accommodation throughout our Garden Route. The minute we parked our car, the first thing I said was 'This is exactly the kind of house I've always dreamed of'. Not only it is very cozy, but also homey, clean, spacious and just perfect! The bedroom is nicely decorated, not too much, not too little, just the... More

My Husband and I stayed for 2 nights and definetely could have stayed longer! The location was just beautiful and very tranquil. The room was beautifully designed, large and comfortable with stunning views from our balcony of the Heads which is a walk away through the shallow lagoon...a must is to have cocktails and lunch at the East Head Cafe...pure... My wife, daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. Amanzi has a great location and the island is very scenic and tranquil. Simon and Cathy are lovely hosts and the breakfasts are great. We cycled, kayaked and toured around the surrounding area. We found the East Head Cafe excellent and well worth a visit and we also very much... More

My wife & I stayed two nights in Amanzi Lodge during our honeymoon trip to SA and we loved the place. With a real holiday feel to the appropriately named Leisure Isle, a real tranquil location compared to the much busier Knysa town. On our first night we enjoyed a from room with a large balcony which has an incredible... More

Hi K & L Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review. So pleased you loved Amanzi and Leisure Isle! So sorry that you couldn't spend both nights in the Upstairs Superior lagoon facing room, but when you come back for your anniversaries, we will have to make a plan! Wishing you much happiness in your first... More

The room was great. The view was better. Not bad, but we would probably stay somewhere else next time. There are a lot of options in the area.

We spent three nights here in a room on the ground floor with its own terrace and view of the bay. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with a good sized shower. The breakfasts are excellent and served outside on the veranda. Cathy and Simon are very good hosts who are only too pleased to advise on what to... More

My husband and I spent three nights here during our honeymoon. We loved our bay-facing room, which had a porch, a jacuzzi, and dual showers. The bed was super comfortable, too. The decor is bright and beachy, and Cathy and Simon are so incredibly sweet and resourceful. High recommend.

We booked several B&Bs throughout our Garden Route road trip and Amanzi is without doubt one of our top favorites. Location of Leisure Isle is ideal- only 5km from the Knysna town but offers scenic views and peace & quiet. Rooms and common areas were incredibly spacious and cozy. A dream guesthouse indeed!
