We had a wonderful night stay at the Devon Valley Hotel. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed and the shower was wonderful. Our view of the valley was very pretty. The breakfast was vast (a lot of cheeses!!). The location was good, close to the winerys...

And I don't mean in a good way. Devon Valley is in a beautiful part of the Western Cape, but the parking is really not that great (steep angles). The rooms are quaint, the claw foot bath is beautiful but the shower is either scalding or freezing! The food is very expensive and small portions but the breakfast is plentiful...

Another Riviera traveller, who thought this the best of all the hotels we stayed in.

The trash cans in the bathroom are rusty, the shower has mold between the tiles, the orange juice is from concentrate... It just is not what it used to be. The hotel is a bit run down now and caters to large groups, so the "magic" of a special place has been lost.
