The hotel is situated in a very nice and charming place. The stuff is very friendly. It is right that it is not very modern but it makes feel yourself back in history. It is really recommendable although might be a little bit expensive.

Rooms were fine, although nothing special. Get better value for money and nicer roo s in dewaterkant cape town for 30% of the price, stuffy and old needing a revamp of style and overall furnishings. Spa great, dinners lovely, breakfasts unquestionably amazing...but rooms were quite a big let down.

Don't listen to the folks that say it is far from town center. It is the perfect distance on bike and an easy taxi. The tranquility here is why I loved it so much and if that is what you are looking for, treat yourself. The rooms and the spa are outstanding. I wish I could give it 6 stars.
