Since the booking the staff revelead itself very friendly which we confirmed at the front desk at the check-in. The room was reasonably sized and clean. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast next morning was OK. The parking is right in front of the hotel, which is close to town.

We went there for 3 nights. The room was confortable, however there was a bed smell in the bathroom. I think we had the worse breakfasts ever in Portugal (had worse in other countries). We were going to stay in Marvao but my mothers knees couldnt cope with all the hills so we went to castelo. This was a nice hotel, basic, clean right next to the town. To say 3* is an exaggeration, this is a simple hotel with an excellent location. Staff have had little or no training, management are indifferent to comments re golf- as stated before the golf course closed three years ago - now full of sheep. Nice hotel, well located close to Marvao, beside the municipal park. Small and undeep swimming pool. Very clean hotel, friendly receptionists. Lots of parking places around. Recommended !
