Would highly recommend this hostel for anyone wanting somewhere unique and quiet to stay. Ideal for couples or groups of friends travelling together. The location is very handy for seeing all of the city whilst being a little away from the bustle and touristy areas (although the area has some great local restaurants and milongas) We stayed in the double... Wonderful place, friendly poeple. Excelent location very close to the underground "E" and "H", twnety blocks from San Telmo! Very good and big breakfast! As a suggestion: reserve the loft. Is the best room. And the Sanchez's are really good guys...

I've travelled a lot and stayed at a great deal of hostels but none where I've felt as much at home as at the Elefante rosa. The house is a beautiful old building, very well kept by the owners, always clean and tidy. It only has five rooms and is decorated with lots of personal items, all with their own... More

I stayed there for a week; they picked me up from the airport, which was a great help. I had the 6-bed room to myself; the bad was too short me, but that happens all the time. It was very hot, in the room it was hotter than outside most of the time. The portable fan didnt help a lot.... More

This hostal is located in a very charming building that has a lot of character to it -high ceilings, large windows, and what appeared to be stained glass windows. This is a great place for someone who prefers to stay in a place with more a neighborhood feel, rather than right in the middle of the bustling tourist areas. We... More

It was our first time in Argentina. Our first hostel: Elefante Rosa and we loved it. The rooms were goog, the breakfast was fine, the shared bathroom clean. But what Elefante Rosa makes special is the personal touch. Diego tells you where to go (and where not to go), takes his time and let you feel welcome. Only disadvantage: the... More

We had a 3 night stay after arriving super early from Lima on 26 Dec. Diego was at the airport at 4.30am ready and waiting with a sign. Because of the 2 hr time difference it was 2.30am for us and we really needed a bed. Upon arriving at the hostel, the room was ready, major relief. I didn't have... More

Diego and Mauro were fantastic hosts, friendly, welcoming and helpful picking us up from the airport and providing us with advice throughout our stay. The beautiful hostel is located close to 2 underground lines - its easy to access all areas of the city from here. Hostel really lovely with lots of character and style - wonderfully restored. Breakfast good... More

We found elefante rosa through trip advisor so we thought we'd share too! Stayed here as a family on three different occasions- each time our host Diego went out of his way to make us comfortable. He met us the airport, rooms were clean And breakfast great. Kitchen available for self service cooking. Road outside can be noisy- but bring... More

Diego and Mauro, the two brothers who own and run Elefante Rosa have made a fabulous job of restoring this old property. From the original intricate stained glass ceiling in the main room to the quirky collection of gilded picture frames to the black and white bathroom tiling - everything's got style. One or other of the brothers is always... More
