Easy to walk to all attractions in BA. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms great but bathrooms small. A table on the mezzanine floor to place toiletries would be useful. Had a great stay here.

This hotel has very cool rooms... beds are in a loft. Rooms are huge. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is funky. The washroom was poor thou. small and no place to put toiletries. The power was a huge issue. they mostly have the angle power outlets rather than the to pronges. The area is busy and exciting...

This hotel is great in that it's a very modern cool old building. I love the small balconies and large room.
Pros: large room, kitchenette, architectural charms, breakfast, friendly staff, temp control.
Cons: location is not the best although taxis are cheap, sewerage smell in the room at certain times of the day and night, very small bathroom-no room for...

Dear John Po from Israel
I´ve just red your comment´s title and it is demolishing, it is so and I was so surprissed that I thought that a mistake had to be occured and maybe the critic wansen´t towards our hotel, but as I kept on reading finally realised I was wrong, it was refered to Carlos, our hotel..

The location is good, on one of the main avenues of Buenos Aires, the "9 de Julio". You spend less than 2 minutes to catch a taxi, that is a cheap transport in Buenos Aires.
The rooms are very big. We had a duplex with the main room at the 1st floor, and the bedroom and bathroom on the second...

Ok, so let me get the few downsides out of the way first in order to concentrate on the fabulousness of this hotel. It is pricey ie comparable to that of four star hotels in Sydney, but this is across the board for Argentinian hotels & indicative of a thriving economy. (Shopping in Argentina is also expensive). Breakfast isn't all...

I stayed at Room Mate Carlos with my husband and some friends and had a really great time. The apartment rooms are very spacious and funky looking. As you enter into the massively sturdy and heavy doors you are greeted by the living area, with a flat screen TV and comfy sofas. Our apartments also had a six-seater dining table...

Great location, plenty of room. Good place for a BsAs stay. Friendly helpful staff. The breakfast room however smells funny and the mattresses are pretty bad (but maybe that is just an Argentine hotel thing). Still would go back there.
Hi there Texas
Thank you very much for apreciating our devotion towards the guest, our friends, stay, wich is our main effort to accomplish, but this time more than anything I would like to appologise either for the funny odor wich might had occur, but believe me that doesent happen more than twice a year and we cant controle it...

We had a really good stay in Room Mate Carlos and can recommend as a base to see another area as it was also our second hotel in BA.
It is in a very central location so easy to reach all sights by bus, tube and foot. Agree, it gets a bit dead around, but still we found two really...

Let me please explain our 3 star rating:
- the hotel is situated in the business area, which is dead after 7pm, so if you are there to check out porteno life, than you are better off in Recoletta, Belgrano or even Palermo (which became extremely touristic), also Puerto Madero is 25 mins walk
- we have booked 2 loft...
