I booked two nights in this hostel after a 30 hour bus ride from Montevideo, only to arrive with no reservation. The hostel had over booked and there was no room for me and my boyfriend. The man running the hostel was extremely rude as he tried to find another hostel for us to stay in, which was the extent... More

In January 2012 we spent 3 nights in this hostal. We were met by a very unfriendly man who did not even say hello, but just showed us our room. We did not succeed in making him say hello any of the 3 days ! The room was very bad too. The mosquito net was broken, and that we could... More

Ugh. We had one night here. It's budget and the room was relatively clean. Just the room though, five dogs and a few cats patrol the communal area and there is dog hair everywhere. A smell of animals pervades the place and the pool is manky. We had a private room - the aircon was a fan and it was... More

Close to town, clean. Nice patio outside to sit outside in the evening. I noted complaints in other reviews about the pool, and we did not use the pool but it looked quite clean. The rooms are basic, the bathroom standard with plenty of hot water for showers. The breakfasts were spare: bread/rolls, cream cheese and jam or dulce de... More

Let me start with the good, it has a great location within walking distance to the bus terminal and city center, Valeria the receptionist was extra nice, free WiFi and computer access The bad: the horrible dirty dog smell all peer the house, they keep the dogs inside the hostel that is just not professional at all, the walls in... It is cheap. And that's great for a traveller on a budget. And it's fine when the weather is better and you can spend entire days outside. But it did get a little worse after a 4-day-long continuous rain - ventillation was imperfect. On the upside, the staff was nice and friendly and I wouldn't mind staying there again provided... More

The room with bathroom was ok. The swimmingpool very nice. The staff was not very helpfull, I wanted to buy some postcards but the man at the desk overheard me several times. There was a nice and cosy outdoor area, where nearly everyone sat at the evening/night.

Pros and cons: Start from 5 stars: 1. Location: Although Puerto Iguazu is a very small town, this family-run hostel is away from everything. The walking experience to the center (where the bus terminal is located) is not so pleasant. -1 star 2. Room: Spacious and well-lit. We have a triple room for two, so one bed is very large... More
