Norma, the owner of this b&b, is very sweet and helpful. Even though her English was not that good, we did not have any problem to get her advice about Barilche. We got here yesterday- it is our 2nd night at melipal b&b actually - but we can tell it is the best accommodation so far in Argentina. Thanks Nirma... More

Melipal is a "suburb" of Bariloche, very close & convenient, easy bus access; it's much quieter than in town. The B&B is a private home that rents rooms. They advertise private bath but our bath was down the hall & would not have been private if there had been guests in the other 2 rooms. Friendly owners, limited English. Breakfast... More

Our hosts Norma and Alberto have made us feel right at home in their lovely home. The views from their panoramic windows are breathtaking, but it is the warmth and generosity with which they treat their guests which makes the stay special. Norma prepared a breakfast for us every day which consisted of pastries that would rival any great bakery,... More

Home with a family atmosphere. Melipal is a one room operation so you will be the only guest there with the family. When you enter, the room is downstairs but you will have an excellent view of the mountains and lake. The bathroom is not inside the room but just down a short hallway. What you read about the breakfast... More

A family home with attentive hosts, clean room with view of the lake and wonderful breakfast. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Norma, Alberto and Martin. Esperanza and Chuck Evans

Excellent strudel for breakfast the first morning (with lots of tasty accompaniments), chocolate cake the second morning (with more tasty side dishes). A room in a house with no front door key so you must specify when you will be back. There is smoking in the house (but not in the room). Not near the centre of Bariloche so you... More

Bariloche is marvelous, we need five days to fully appreciate the area (Siete Lagos, Circuito Grande, Circuito Chico, Cerro Catedral, El Bolson, Traful, La Angostura, etc...), our stay in Melipal B&B was very enjoyable, Norma and Alberto (the owner) are marvelous and warm, they truly know how to run a B&B, the breakfast and dinner prepared by Norma were generous... My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights this month and we really enjoyed meeting Norma and her husband and son. I speak Spanish fluently so I was able to get to know Norma a little. My husband does not speak Spanish so his communication was minimal. We did not have a car but we enjoyed taking the bus... More

Norma and Alberto are wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts who enjoy interacting with their guests and showcasing the beauty and attractions of Bariloche and Patagonia. In addition to an excellent language experience for travellers who have begun to learn Spanish, they offer very comfortable and homey accommodations. Their home is tastefully decorated and immaculate, with a lovely garden in back.... More
