We had the most wonderful stay at La Paloma Lodge for our honeymoon. Our private rancho was gorgeous, with original hardwood floors, terrace with hammock, two bathrooms with hot water, and a fabulous view of the ocean and the jungle. Be prepared to hear monkeys having fun in the nearby trees! It is no coincidence they choose to hang out... More

Fabulous views, great bungalows, amazing grounds, fantastic food, wonderful service. The staff is always ready to do anything they can to make your stay better. The guides and the boat captains are all so friendly, and everyone speaks English and helped me with my broken Spanish. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. All these eco-lodges are... More

We loved our stay at this lodge. All the activities were well organized and fabulous. We saw many different kinds of wildlife and the guides were all excellent. The warmth of the staff - particularly Nicole, Jessica, and Tebo - made our stay so comforting and delightful. My friend and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had a great experience a La Paloma. The night walk with the "bug lady" is not to be missed! The staff are all wonderful, pleasant, caring. The food is very good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the birding guide. I had 2 different birding guides- one was excellent and the other was above... More

We absolutely LOVED La Paloma! Our family of 4 (kids 8 and 9) was there for 4 nights and really didn't want to leave. The 2 story rancho gave us all room to spread out and it was really fun to sleep with all the jungle sounds. There is so much wildlife on the property - we saw lots of... More

LaPaloma is the real rainforest experience. The cabinas are open air- i.e. walls don't go all the way up. But that is part of the charm. We stayed as a family of 5 (3 very active kids) for 6 days/5 nights. The staff is super friendly, organized and accommodating. While there isn't "room service/AC/phones" that is part of the experience.... More

We really loved it, we went with our two daughters and the personnel was amazing, they lend us lifesavers for the girls and arranged visits to the jungle and to snorkel just for ourselves. The views are incredible! It is our second time at La Paloma Lodge and we hope to visit it many more times.

Our five days at LaPaloma Lodge was nothing short of fabulous! I heartily agree with all of the previous rave reviews - the wonderful staff to the gorgeous grounds, delicious meals, beautiful open-air casitas (leaving the doors open to allow the refreshing sea breezes and rainforest sounds in is a must). The snorkeling at Cano Island was wonderful - beautiful... More

After reading the reviews, we expected to arrive at a 5 star tropical resort. Instead, this can best be described as a property consisting of open air rustic cabins in a remote area of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with no access to TV or internet. The advertised internet was down for 2 1/2 of the 3 days we were... La Paloma Lodge was wonderful, as everyone else says, Not only is the setting lovely, with views across the Pacific and gardens all around, but the service is fabulous. Everyone is dedicated to making your stay comfortable and memorable, from the guides to the young men who fix you a drink. And yes, you should definitely take the tour with... More
